Bei dem Verfahren werden folgende Schritte durchgeführt: - Durchführen eines Bohrvorgangs mittels eines Bohrgeräts (1) in dem Gestein, wobei Bohrklein (7,8) erzeugt wird, - Bilden eines Aerosols (4) umfassend das Bohrklein und einen Gasstrom, - Überführen des Aerosols vom Bohrgerät (1) zu mindestens einem Windsichter (5), - Durchführen einer Stromklassierung, wobei mindestens zwei Fraktionen (6a,6b,6c) umfassend jeweils gleichfällige Partikel des Bohrkleins gebildet werden, und - Bestimmen einer Eigenschaft mindestens einer der Fraktionen (6a,6b,6c), welche als Maß für die lokale Mineralkorngröße des Wertstoff-Minerals in dem Gestein (10a) verwendet wird.
