摘要: A medical data processing method and system determines the position of an artifact in patient image data describing a set of tomographic slice images of an anatomical structure of a patient. The images are described by color Values. Color value difference data describing differences in color values for image elements in adjacent slice images is determined. At least one of positive or negative difference data, describing a subset of the differences and consisting of differences having a positive or negative value are determined. Smoothed difference data describing a smoothing of the differences contained in the positive or negative difference data are determined and, based on the positive or negative difference data and the smoothed difference data, artifact position data is determined describing the position of an artifact in the patient image data.

摘要: A control apparatus controls an image sensing device for tracking and sensing a tracking target. The apparatus comprises a recording means configured to record a size of a tracking target that is detected in a sensed video that is sensed by the image sensing device and a search means configured, when the tracking target cannot be detected in the sensed video, to zoom out at a predetermined scaling factor if a size of the tracking target in a zoomed out sensed video becomes larger than a predetermined size, wherein the size of the tracking target in the zoomed out sensed video is predicted based on the size of the tracking target recorded by the recording means, and then to search for the tracking target in the sensed video after the zoom out.

摘要: An object detection apparatus and method capable of detecting objects based on visual images captured by a self-moving unit. A sequential images output section makes a train of a first input image and a second input image sequential to the first input image and outputs said train. A local area image processor calculates local flows based on said first input image and said second input image. An inertia information acquiring section measures self-motion of the unit to calculate inertia information thereof. A global area image processor uses said inertia information to estimate global flow, which is a motion field of the entire view associated to the self-motion, using said global flow and said first input image and creates a predictive image of said second input image. The global area image processor then calculates differential image data, which is a difference between said predictive image and said second input image. A figure-ground segregation section uses said differential image data to refine said local flows and compares the refined local flows with a predetermined threshold value to extract a figure candidate area, which is the area having a high probability of an object existing in the input image. An object presence/absence determination section determines presence/absence of objects in said figure candidate area.

摘要: Systems, apparatuses and methods may include a source device that generates a scene change notification in response to a movement of a camera, modifies an encoding scheme associated with the video content captured by the camera in response to the scene change notification, identifies a full-frame difference threshold, wherein scene analysis information includes frame difference data, and compares the frame difference data to an intermediate threshold that is less than the full-frame difference threshold, wherein the scene change notification is generated when the frame difference data exceeds the intermediate threshold. A sink device may obtain transport quality data associated with video content, modify an output parameter of a display based on the transport quality data, determine a view perspective of a still image containing a plurality of image slices, retrieve only a subset of the plurality of image slices based on the view perspective and decode the retrieved subset.
