    摘要: An apparatus for conducting electrical energy to a part of the body (e.g. the heart) and/or for providing sensor data from the body to a device suitably includes an input lead configured to electrically interface with a medical device. A switch electrically coupled to the input lead includes first and second output terminals and a switching input that is responsive to a control signal. The switch toggles electrical energy between first and second output leads in response to the control signal to provide energy to a particular location on the part of the body. The various electromechanical switches described herein may be useful in a wide variety of applications, including many applications in the medical device field. Such switches may be useful in producing Y-adapter-type lead multiplexers for implantable devices, for example, as well as in producing switchable electrode arrays, sensor leads and the like.

    摘要: In an electrostatic relay (31,101,111) in which a moving contact (56) and a movable electrode are displaced in parallel with a base substrate(32), an opening force is increased when the movable electrode is separated from a fixed electrode, and a structure is simplified to enhance a degree of freedom of design. A fixed contact portion (33) and a fixed electrode portion (35) are fixed to the base substrate (32). The fixed electrode portion (35) and a movable electrode portion (36) constitute an electrostatic actuator that displaces the movable electrode portion (36) and a moving contact portion (34). A movable spring (37a,37b) provided in a spring supporting portion (38,39) retains the movable electrode portion (36) in a displaceable manner. A cantilever secondary spring (84) is provided in the spring supporting portion (38), and a projection portion (85) is provided in a front end face of the movable electrode portion (36). The secondary spring (84) abuts on the projection portion (85) while being not deformed until abutting on the projection portion (85), before the moving contact (56) of the moving contact portion (34) abuts on the fixed contact (46a,46b) of the fixed contact portion (33) when the moving contact portion (34) and the movable electrode portion (36) are displaced.

    摘要: A MEM relay device includes a flexible multi-point contact system with a self-aligning structure. The inventive relay includes a first signal contact electrically connected to a first set of flexible electrically conductive signal teeth and a second signal contact electrically connected to a second set of flexible electrically conductive signal teeth. An actuator, selectively moves a shorting contact between an open and closed position. In the closed position, two sets of flexible electrically conductive shorting teeth mesh with a first set of flexible electrically conductive signal teeth and the second set of flexible electrically conductive signal teeth creating a conductive path between the two signal contacts. The contact structure facilitates fabrication using a deep reactive ion etch (DRIE) process and brings signal and actuator contacts to an edge of each die.

    摘要: A mechanical switch having two contacting sliding plates (1 and 2) which have conductive parts (7 and 9) periodically dispersed in an insulating background (4, 6) with a spatial period and a current assembling member (5, 8) for gathering currents from the conductive parts. A driving device 30 can reciprocate the two sliding plates (1, 2) relatively in parallel to the surface by about half a period. The driving device makes or breaks a current from one sliding plate to the other by displacing the sliding plates. Parallel movement of the plates (1, 2) suppresses the occurrence of arc discharge in breaking a large current. The short stroke of the displacement results in high speed switching.
