    摘要: The invention is a hermetic seal that is compatible with lithium-ion electrolyte in lithium batteries. Pin feed throughs are sealed by compression, chemical bonding, and mechanical bonding between the metal pin (1) and a sealing glass (7), such as Cabal-12. The pin (1) may be coated with a metal or a metal oxide to enhance compatibility with the lithium battery environment. The pin (1) surface is roughened or mechanically shaped to ensure mechanical bonding with the glass seal (7). Mechanical bonds are also achieved by placing the pin/glass seal interface in compression by an external compression band.
