The cap assembly (20) includes a cap plate (21) including an electrolyte injection hole (26), the electrolyte injection hole (26) includes an upper tapered portion, and the tapered portion has a surface roughness. The secondary battery (10) further includes a sealing member located in the electrolyte injection hole (26) to seal the electrolyte injection hole. The sealing member includes a cap and a resin coated on an outer circumference of the cap. Thus, a secondary battery (10) including an electrolyte injection hole (26) having a very excellent sealing characteristic can be provided. Also, productivity of a fabrication process can be improved by removing need for a cap welding process.
