    摘要: In einer Spiegelanordnung zur Führung eines Laserstrahls in einem Lasersystem mit mindestens einem ersten Endspiegel (1) und einem zweiten Endspiegel (2) definieren diese Endspiegel (1,2) einen Resonator mit optischen Resonatorachse (OA), wobei der Laserstrahl als Eingangslaserstrahl (ES) in den Resonator geführt und nach mehrfacher Reflexion an jeweils dem ersten und dem zweiten Endspiegel (1,2) als Ausgangslaserstrahl (AS) wieder aus dem Resonator geführt wird. Dabei legt die Abfolge der Reflexionen an dem ersten und dem zweiten Endspiegel (1,2) eine gegenüber der Resonatorachse (OA) als Drehachse definierte Drehrichtung zwischen dem ersten und zweiten Endspiegel im Resonator fest, wodurch ein erster Strahlgang definiert ist und der Laserstrahl mit einer gegenüber der Resonatorachse (OA) als Drehachse definierten Drehrichtung zwischen dem ersten und zweiten Endspiegel im Resonator umläuft. Der Resonator ist so ausgebildet, dass die Drehrichtung in einem Umkehrpunkt umgekehrt wird und der Laserstrahl im Resonator zumindest teilweise mit zum ersten Strahlgang gegenläufiger Drehrichtung durchläuft, wodurch ein zweiter Strahlgang definiert ist.

The laser may comprise axicon, waxicon or reflaxicon optics (103) to convert the annular beam to a compacted cylindrical beam. Plural amplifier modules (220) may be concatenated. Advantageously, thermal lensing effects, birefringence, bifocussing, and alignment problems associated with typical tube SSLs are eliminated or reduced while providing high beam quality and high average power levels.

    摘要: A synchronously-pumped optical parametric oscillator (OPO 10) driven by the second harmonic output of a Kerr-Iens-mode-locked Ti :sapphire laser (12) generates femtosecond pulses with wide tunability in the visible and ultraviolet spectrum. The OPO uses bismuth triborate, BiB3O6 (or BIBO) or a substituted form thereof, in collinear critical phase-matching as the nonlinear gain crystal (24). Using simple crystal rotation at room temperature, a continuous tuning range from 480nm to 710nm is achieved with a single BIBO crystal (24) and a single set of mirrors (26, 28, 30) for the OPO cavity. The OPO (10) generates up to 27OmW of average power across the available tuning range and can deliver femtosecond pulses at a repetition rate of 76MHz. Frequency doubling of the visible signal pulses from the OPO (10) is also achieved in the crystal of β-BaB2O4, external and internal to the OPO resonator (10), providing femtosecond pulses with wide tunability in the 235nm to 355nm in the ultraviolet at average powers of up to 100mW.

    摘要: A laser system, such as a master oscillator/power amplifier system, comprises a gain medium and a stimulated Brillouin scattering SBS mirror system. The SBS mirror system includes an in situ filtered SBS medium that comprises a compound having a small negative non-linear index of refraction, such as a perfluoro compound. An SBS relay telescope having a telescope focal point includes a baffle at the telescope focal point which blocks off angle beams. A beam splitter is placed between the SBS mirror system and the SBS relay telescope, directing a fraction of the beam to an alternate beam path for an alignment fiducial. The SBS mirror system has a collimated SBS cell and a focused SBS cell. An adjustable attenuator is placed between the collimated SBS cell and the focused SBS cell, by which pulse width of the reflected beam can be adjusted.

The system comprises sealed-off folded waveguides with folder mirrors that are thin film coated to select the output wavelength of the laser.
