摘要: Aspects discussed herein relate to systems, apparatuses, and methods for providing content distribution via a breadth-first approach for peer-to-peer file sharing in a temporary ad hoc mesh network. For example, a peer-to-peer orchestrator may receive requests for the same asset from multiple mobile devices, determine which of the mobile devices are likely to travel along the same route at the same time, group them together and cause transmission of different asset parts of the requested asset to different mobile devices in the group. If the mobile devices in the group lose connection with the peer-to-peer orchestrator, they may form an ad hock mesh network and retrieve asset parts from one another. If the group reconnects with a peer-to-peer orchestrator, additional asset parts of the asset may be transmitted to the group and the process may repeat so that each mobile device may obtain each of the asset parts.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of broadcasting a content by streaming in a peer-to-peer network (10) of client devices (11, 12, 13) which is connected to a content server (2), said content consisting of a sequence of segments stored on data storage means of the content server (2), each client device (11, 12, 13) comprising a buffer memory storing in a temporary manner at least one segment of said content, the method being characterized in that each client device (11, 12, 13) is associated with a level defining a minimal list of segments of the content that have to be stored by the buffer memory of the device (11, 12, 13), the method comprising steps of: (a) connection of a new client device (14) to the peer-to-peer network (10); (b) assignment of a level to the new client device (14) as a function of the number of client devices (11, 12, 13) associated with each level; (c) transmission to said new client device (14) from the server (2) of at least each segment of the content which is absent from the buffer memory of the new client device (14), which belongs to said list of segments of the content corresponding to the level assigned to the new client device (14).

摘要: Example embodiments relate to a method of, and device for facilitating, resilient peer-to-peer application message routing. The method comprises storing a network routing table comprising destination addresses of applications hosted on peer nodes of a network, and providing the peer nodes with a copy of the routing table via which routing table an application message from any one of the peer nodes is routed to a destination address designating a destination application hosted by a destination peer node. Further, the method comprises providing, when the destination application hosted by the destination peer node is inactivated, all peer nodes with a copy of an updated routing table taking into account the inactivation of said application, wherein a further application message addressed from any one of the peer nodes to the destination address associated with the inactivated application is routed via the updated routing table, to an alternative destination application having the same destination address as the inactivated application.
