Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a device and a method for a personal network equipment to obtain content, as well as related devices. In the technical solution of the present disclosure, the requests for the same content from multiple personal network equipments in the same WPAN within the set period of time are combined into a single request, the content is correspondingly sent one time according to the combined single request, and the requested content is distributed to each of the personal network equipments, such that the corresponding content only needs to be sent one time rather than multiple times when the multiple personal network equipments in the WPAN request the same content, thereby saving the transmission resources significantly. Since the same requests are processed in the set period of time, the real-time requirement for the personal network equipment to obtain content is basically not affected while the transmission resources are saved. Furthermore, the request processing unit provided in the present disclosure may be located either at a personal network gateway or at a system side, which provides a flexible choice for specific applications and thus has great practicality.
Abstract:
Described is a user interface that displays a representation of a stereo scene, and includes interactive mechanisms for changing parameter values that determine the perceived appearance of that scene. The scene is modeled as if viewed from above, including a representation of a viewer's eyes, a representation of a viewing screen, and an indication simulating what each of the viewer eyes perceives on the viewing screen. Variable parameters may include a vergence parameter, a dolly parameter, a field-of-view parameter, an interocular parameter and a proscenium arch parameter.
Abstract:
A control terminal includes an operation portion and a control portion. The operation portion receives a group setting in which, with respect to a first audio device among a plurality of audio devices that are connected to each other, the first audio device having a plurality of audio output channels including a main channel and a sub channel, the main channel and the sub channel are set as respective separate groups. The control portion transmits a command related to the group setting to the plurality of audio devices.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for managing playlist on a media device, comprising: creating, by a media device, a first playlist of media files, wherein the first playlist is associated with a first option to be selected by a user for publishing the first playlist; receiving, by the media device, a first request from the user for publishing the first playlist; storing, by the media device, the first playlist to a media server, so that the first playlist is able to be requested by other user; receiving, by the media device, a second request from the user for accessing a second playlist of media files, wherein the second playlist is stored on the media server and published by another user; and playing, by the media device, a media file on the second playlist. Moreover, the invention relates to a corresponding media device and computer program.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method, and/or computer program product embodiments for a crowd sourced indexing and/or searching of content. An embodiment operates by receiving one or more requests for content from one or more media devices, each request comprising content identifier information that identifies the content, determining whether crowd sourced content index information has been generated for the content, transmitting a response to the one or more media devices of the one or more media devices, in response to the one or more requests, the response comprising content location information and a content indexing request, and receiving content index information for the content identified by the content identifier information from the one or more media devices.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a method includes by a host computing server, receiving from a client computing device, a request to upload a multimedia file from the client computing device to a service; by the host computing server, identifying one or more third-party transcoding servers, wherein the transcoding servers are configured to receive and transcode multimedia files from client computing devices and store the transcoded multimedia files; by the host computing server, sending to the client computing device, a reply that comprises addresses of the third-party transcoding servers and job configuration information, wherein the job configuration information specifies one or more upload policies and comprises an access token enabling the client computing device to access the transcoding servers.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for estimating audience member engagement with content, or distinguishing between users consuming content and users who have become distracted or have left. User presence or attention may be estimated from user interactions with or skipping of content, with the user interactions either compared to high quality engagement data from small audience measurement panels, or extrapolated based on a temporal-engagement curve. An attention gap may be estimated, representing users that were not present for or not engaged with or paying attention to a presentation of content at a client device. This allows the measurement system to distinguish between users who consumed and potentially enjoyed the content, and users who did not, even as client devices of both sets of users receive and present the content items.
Abstract:
The distribution of content over a peer to peer (P2P) network can be improved by utilizing at least one broadcast of the content in order to quickly seed the P2P network. When content is first to be distributed across the network, a broadcast can be scheduled that each peer device with broadcast receiving capability and within range of the broadcast is able to receive. As soon as a peer device receives at least a portion of the broadcast content, that peer can begin redistributing the content across the P2P network. Any errors or missing portions of the received broadcast content can be corrected by requesting a copy of the missing or incorrect portion from another peer on the P2P network.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for content presentation optimization are disclosed. A content and/or service provider can receive a data sample relating to a content item presented via a device. One or more configuration settings to be applied to the device can be determined based on the data sample. The one or more determined configuration settings of the device can be automatically or manually adjusted. In an aspect, a content and/or service provider can receive a content item from a content presentation device. The received content item can be analyzed against reference data. A modified content item can be generated based on the analysis. The modified content item can be transmitted to the content presentation device for content presentation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method, in which an indefinite number of audio tracks for a video film are separately stored in order to be played in the Internet synchronously to the video. In this way, a video can be stored in any number of languages, and the language can be changed in real time during playback of the video at any time without the video having to be newly loaded. This functions for different sources, e.g. various video platforms, on which the same video is offered, since the platforms all access the same stored audio tracks. In this way and due to the small size of the audio tracks, about 90 % of the upload and storage requirements is saved compared with the conventional method, in which in each case a single video including the audio/speech track has to be provided for each individual language.
