The inventive revolving transfer machine (10) also has a circular table (40) which turns around a vertical control axle (12) in relation to the frame. In order to create space for machining a workpiece to be arranged on the circular table (40), the support (70) is configured for mounting at least one of the machining units (66) on the side. The machine frame is characterised by a high degree of rigidity and stability. At the same time, a large volume of space is created for machining workpieces and easy access to the satellites (50), the indexing devices and the circular table (40) for the purpose of adjusting or installing the machine is guaranteed. The inventive revolving transfer machine (10) also has an extremely fast, high dynamics drive mechanism for the circular table (40) and enables the satellites to be indexed in less time but nonetheless accurately.

The tool head (17) can be moved linearly in three directions relative to the at least two workpiece spindles (18, 19) and can be pivoted about a tool head pivot axis (37). A mounting element (8), which extends in the direction of the workpiece spindle pivot axis (10) and the free end (11) of which is mounted on a reinforcement element (13) such that said free end can pivot about the workpiece spindle pivot axis (10), is arranged fixedly on the pivot element (7).
