    摘要: A cruise control system for a utility vehicle (20), which is speed-controlled by a hydrostatic transmission (26), includes a controller (52( having an input for receiving a selectable set speed signal, and an output for sending a speed control signal to at least one proportional valve (106, 108) of a hydrostatic transmission servo control system. The vehicle ground speed is continuously monitored by a speed sensor (46) operatively associated with a rotating gear (40) in the vehicle drive train (26) that rotates in proportion to vehicle ground speed, to create a ground speed signal. The selectable set speed signal can be input to controller memory by driving the vehicle (20) at a desired ground speed and then activating a speed set switch (58). The speed control algorithm of the controller (52) thereafter compares the set speed to the ground speed signal from the speed sensor (46) and corrects the control signal to the proportional valve (106, 108) to correct hydrostatic transmission speed output.

    摘要: In a method and device for simulating properties of a fluid torque converter such as torque ratio, capacity factor and efficiency involving the execution of the steps of finding a plurality of parameters including a fluid passage angle and a fluid passage resistance from a vane profile of a vane wheel of a fluid torque converter, and simulating the properties of said fluid torque converter according to said parameters and an input and output torque relationship based on an angular momentum theory, said fluid passage angle is corrected according to a slip ratio between rotational speeds of input and output ends of the fluid torque converter for the purpose of accounting for the influences of the occurrence of flow separation. Good results can be obtained by correcting the outflow angle of a stator vane array by using a correction value given as a mathematical function of the slip ratio. Thus, the accuracy of simulation can be substantially improved with a minimum increase in the computer time.

    摘要: A torque sensitive squeeze control apparatus for a variable ratio pulley drive apparatus has a fluid translating unit (26), such as a pump, disposed in the input torque path (30). One member (28) of the fluid translating unit is rotated by the input drive shaft (30) while another member (24) is fixed for rotation with an input pulley shaft (22). If a rotational difference between the input drive shaft and the input pulley shaft is present, the fluid translating unit is effective to increase the pressure in the squeeze control piston of the input pulley thereby increasing the torque capacity of the pulley. A speed differential will occur when a torque difference between the two shafts is present. The hydraulic control for the output pulley (14) is via a controlled servo valve mechanism (52) which permits operator control of the drive ratio between the pulleys independently of the squeeze force on the input pulley.
