The fifth check valve (8) and the internal pump (5) connected in series and the sixth check valve (14) and the external pump (13) connected in series may be connected in parallel between the oil container (1) and the first and second clutch driving circuits (L1, L2). A control apparatus of an automated manual transmission includes an input shaft (3) provided with a plurality of drive gears (11 - 16), an output shaft (4) provided with a plurality of driven gears (21 - 26) engaged with the drive gears (11 - 16), and a reverse idler gear (28) engaging with gears (16, 26) for backward movement respectively provided at the input and output sides when a backward moving stage is selected, as a mechanism for backward moving. Further, there is provided a bypass clutch (18) capable of selectively transmitting or shutting the power of the input shaft (3) to the output shaft (4). When the backward moving stage is selected (S1), the bypass clutch (18) is engaged (S3) so as to stop a rotation (S4) of the input shaft (3), and thereafter the reverse idler gear (28) and the backward moving gears (16, 26) are engaged with each other (35). Thus, a shift operation to a reverse mode can be securely and smoothly executed for a short time.

The invention concerns a continuously variable transmission comprising: a mechanical power branch and an electronically controlled hydraulic power branch which can be adjusted by means of a swash plate (7); a summarizing transmission; and a multi-stage gearbox with hydraulically operated, force-locking shift elements (11 - 14). The shift signals of the shift elements (11 - 14) are generally triggered when a shift or synchronizer speed is attained. This is followed by a response or reaction time and an adjusting time, until the shift elements (11 - 14) are engaged, which results in long clutch shift processes. According to the invention, the response and engagement times of the shift elements (11 - 14) are compensated by a control unit.

Disclosed are power machines, and drive systems for use thereon, as well as methods of controlling the displacement of a hydraulic drive motor. The drive system includes a drive pump capable of providing a hydraulic power output and a drive motor operably coupled to the drive pump that receives the hydraulic power output from the drive pump. The drive motor has an operating displacement that is variable between a minimum displacement and a maximum displacement and it provides a rotational output member. A shift actuator is operably coupled to the drive motor and it is configured to vary the displacement of the drive motor between the minimum displacement and the maximum displacement. A controller controls the shift actuator to cause the drive motor to provide infinitely variable displacement between the minimum and maximum displacements.
