    摘要: The present invention for a construction machine (14) includes a control knob (50) which is connected to a brake pedal (30) and located remotely therefrom within an operator's compartment (34). The control knob (50) depresses the brake pedal (30) a predetermined amount to achieve neutralization of the hydrostatic transmission (18). Neutralization of the hydrostatic transmission (18) is presently available by continuous direct application of the brake pedal (30). The control knob (50) is adjustable within a plurality of positions to set a selected ground speed which, in turn, allows for increased hydraulic power availability to an implement achieved through the hydrostatic transmission (18) neutralization. An electrical circuit (130) is provided that includes a limit switch (142) which overrides the actuation of a brake light signal (134) unless an operator directly applies pressure to the brake pedal (30). Therefore, the brake light signal (134) is not actuated during the remote setting of the control knob (50). The ability to remotely neutralize the hydrostatic transmission (18) and maintain a set ground speed for increased implement control eliminates the need for continuous direct application of the brake pedal (30) which increases operator flexibility and freedom and decreases operator fatigue.

The vehicle driving apparatus includes: a lever that moves to an acceleration position, an idle position, or a brake position as rotating forward and rearward about a shaft fixed to a vehicle body at a predetermined angle; a hand acceleration means that opens an engine throttle to cause a vehicle to be accelerated, when the lever moves to the acceleration position; a hand brake means that pushes a booster rod of a brake booster so that a brake operates to cause the vehicle to be stopped, when the lever moves to the brake position; a guide means that is installed on the left and right sides of the lever to prevent the lever from being shaken leftward and rightward; a hand brake locking means that allows the hand brake to be continuously applied; and a cruise control means that allows the lever to stay in the acceleration position even if the driver takes his hand off the lever when the lever is in the acceleration position. Accordingly, the lever manipulated by the hand operates independently of the existing brake or acceleration pedals so that the driver can freely select either to drive using their hand or foot according to a situation or his preference, making it possible to remarkably enhance driver convenience.

The invention is suitable to be used by professional drivers to improve driving comfort. According to the invention, the control device comprises means (20, 21, 30, 20, 60, 30, 20, 80, 30) for locking the actuator (3) with a margin for adjustment into a position in which the actuator (3) is utilized to affect the accelerator (15) of the vehicle, and means (22, 25, 60, 22, 25, 81) for producing a margin for adjustment in said position locked with a margin for adjustment, which margin for adjustment allows the driver to move the actuator (3) and to adjust the accelerator (15) within the adjustment range (31) of the margin of adjustment without releasing said locking. Furthermore, the control device according to the invention comprises means (20, 21, 30, 20, 60, 30, 81, 30) for automatically releasing the locking with a margin for adjustment when the driver turns the actuator (3) more than is allowed by said margin for adjustment.
