    摘要： Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines mehrere Falten aufweisenden Filters aus einer wässrigen Faser­mischung, welche auf einem porösen Formstück auf­gebracht wird und bei dem unter Druckeinwirkung auf das Formstück ein papierartiges Filterhaufwerk erzeugt wird, soll ohne mechanische Umformung des Rohformlings ausgeführt werden. Dies wird erfindungs­gemäß dadurch erreicht, daß die wässrige Fasermischung auf das in der Filterkontur vorliegende poröse Form­stück (4) aus voneinander getrennten Füllräumen (12,13, 14) abgelagert und das Filter aus benachbarten Falt­abschnitten schichtförmig auf dem Formstück (4) durch getrenntes Zuführen der Fasermischung zu den mitein­ander verbundenen Faltabschnitten aufgebaut wird (Fig.).

    摘要： A filter assembly is provided comprising a housing; a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet in the housing, each opening into a fluid chamber; and, disposed in the fluid chamber across the line of fluid flow from the inlet to the outlet so that all flow from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet must pass therethrough, a filter element composite comprising a filter sheet material sandwiched between layers of foraminous spacer sheet material. The filter element composite has an upstream side and a downstream side and separates the chamber into a first portion on one side of the filter element composite communicating with the fluid inlet, and a second portion on the other side of the filter element composite communicating with the fluid outlet. The filter element composite is folded on itself in at least a double layer defining therebetween an open interior space in fluid communication with one of the first and second portions of the fluid chamber, the outer side of the filter element composite being in fluid communication with the other of the first and second portions of the fluid chamber; and the double layer filter element composite is arranged in a plurality of convolutions extending transversely across the fluid chamber back and forth across the line of fluid flow from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet.

The first filter in the sequence is a pre-filter designed to remove large particles from the flow stream, the second an activated carbon filter and the third a ceramic filter preferably containing silver or other bacteriostatic agent. The three filters are assembled within a cylindrical container which is sealed to the filter assembly at each end of its ends, so that a substantially uniform inward flow pattern is established, and so that the relative volumes of the carbon and ceramic materials are appropriate for their functions.

    摘要： A flow-through medical filter element (24) which includes surface or depth filter media (34) and a frame-like structure (32) for supporting and positioning the media. The frame-like structure is a molded member which includes a ring-like inlet (35), a fluid-impervious terminal end (36) spaced from the inlet and a plurality of rib-like members (40 and 42) which extend between and interconnect the inlet end and terminal end. The inlet end includes internally-extending pleat-supporting projections (48 and 50) and the terminal end has complementary externally-extending pleat-supporting shoulders (52, 54 and 56). The frame-like structure is symmetrical about an axial plane which includes the mold parting line (38). The external shoulders are formed at angles which permits separation of a mold along the parting line and release of the part. The filter media also includes longitudinal pleats and is secured at its end to the pleat-supporting projections associated with the inlet end and to the external pleat-supporting shoulders at the terminal end. Thus blood enters the filter element flows through the media and thereafter exists the filter element.
