摘要:
Disclosed are cold-rolled material manufacturing equipment and a cold rolling method by which a high efficiency, a high yield and a high investment cost-effectiveness are realized in a small- to medium-scale plant with a capacity of about 300,000 to 600,000 tons of product per year. A strip of a coil 101a unwound from a unwinding device 2 is guided directly to a cold rolling mill 1 to be rolled and then wound onto a winding/unwinding device 4. Upon arrival of the tail end of the coil 101a at a joining device 5, the coil 101a and the leading end of a coil 101b subsequently unwound from the unwinding device 2 are joined. Subsequently, rolling and joining for the coil 101b and following coils are repeated to perform first-pass rolling by the cold rolling mill 1 and joining by the joining device 5, thereby forming a plurality of coils into one buildup coil 102. The buildup coil 102 is subjected to reversible rolling a predetermined number of times until a desired product strip thickness is reached. In the final pass, the buildup coil 102 is cut by a cutting device 6a or 6b, to form a plurality of coils 103.

A method is disclosed for continuously rolling a product exiting from an upstream roll stand RSl at a delivery velocity Vl higher than the take in velocity V3 of a downstream roll stand RS2. The excess product resulting from the velocity differential between Vl and V3 is temporarily accumulated between the roll stands.

The invention relates to a horizontal strip accumulator for storing strip metal (1), especially strip steel (1). Said accumulator comprises a looper car (5) which can be moved along a path of travel and at least one swivel gate (6) which is moved by the looper car (5) from a starting position to an end position when said looper car (5) moves. The looper car (5) moves the swivel gate (6) by acting on an actuation element (7) which is connected to the swivel gate (6) by a four-gear mechanism (8) with two swivels (9, 10), the swivel gate (6) being pivotably arranged on one of said swivels and the actuation element (7) being pivotably arranged on the other (9, 10). The looper car (5) engages in the actuation element (7) with a positive fit when the swivel gate moves, hereby ensuring that the swivel gate moves simply and reliably.

A laying head (18) for a rod rolling mill includes an elongated tubular support (36) and means for rotating the support about its longitudinal axis. A pipe (46) is carried by the support for rotation therewith, and the pipe has an inlet end (46a) which is aligned with said axis and is arranged to receive rod from the mill. The pipe also has an intermediate portion (46b) defining a curved guide path, leading from the inlet end to an outlet end of the pipe and is arranged to rotate about said axis and from which the rod is discharged in the form of a continuous series of rings. A guide for the rod communicates with the outlet end of the pipe and defines a helical extension (68) of the guide path of the rod.

An object is to provide a steel-sheet snaking preventing device and a steel-sheet snaking preventing method for a vertical looper that are capable of preventing snaking of a steel sheet with a simple facility. A steel-sheet snaking preventing device for a vertical looper includes a jack mechanism provided at each of at least two corners of a looper carriage and coupled via a metal fitting to a chain or a wire rope that pulls the looper carriage; a tilt meter configured to detect the amount of tilt of the looper carriage; a level meter configured to detect a height of the looper carriage; and a means for receiving detection signals from the tilt meter and the level meter, determining the amount of tilt of the looper carriage at which the amount of snaking of a steel sheet becomes zero, sending the determined amount of tilt of the looper carriage as a command to the jack mechanism, and controlling the amount of tilt of the looper carriage by the jack mechanism.
