摘要: A welding apparatus (10) for longitudinally traversing and circumferentially welding within the interior of a tube. A rotating weld tip and gas supplying containing head is mounted on and rotationally driven by a rotor tube (36) extending from the end (90) of a cylindrical housing (12) in which it is mounted. The axially fixed rotor (36) is surrounded by and is driven by a helix drive connection (52,54,56) to a piston (20) . The piston (20) reciprocates in a cylindrical bore (14) within the housing (12) in response to selectively applied fluid pressure acting against a spring bias (26) . A strain gage (72) on the spring (26) controls the fluid pressure by means of valve ("V") whereby reciprocation of the piston (20) rotates the rotor (36) by means of the helical groove (52) and balls (54) . The various parts are hollow to accommodate the necessary wire conductors (70,86) and gas flow. A conductive path between the weld tip (32) and outside source of current is supplied through the conductive rotor (36) a slip ring (19) and wires (86) .

摘要: A floating reference voltage is generated in response to the low frequency components of weld current and is utilized in the control of the width of travel of a welding arc back and forth across a gap to be filled with weld metal. The arc current is integrated during each traverse across the gap and this integral is compared with the floating reference so that as the wall of the gap is approached, the direction Of travel of the arc will be reversed. Provision is made for avoidance of the effects of "dip transfer".

摘要: An arc-welding method, which comprises: arc-welding objects of welding together along the line of a groove formed between said objects of welding by continuously moving a welding electrode along the line of said groove while reciprocating said welding electrode in the width direction of said groove; characterized by: calculating at prescribed time intervals, for each one reciprocation of said welding electrode in the width direction of said groove, deviations (l-lo) of values (I) of one of arc current and arc voltage from a previously set reference value (lo), for each of left-side deviations (L) and right-side deviations (R) relative to the vertical plane which passes through the center of amplitude of said one reciprocation of said welding electrode and is parallel to the line of said groove; calculating at said time intervals, when said welding electrode moves over the left side of said groove relative to said vertical plane, differences (L-R) between said left-side deviations (L) and the immediately preceding right-side deviations (R), to controllably aligning the center of said amplitude of said one reciprocation of said welding electrode with the center of said groove In the width direction thereof at said prescribed time intervals so that said differences (L-R) become null; and, calculating at said prescribed time intervals, when said welding electrode moves over the right saide of said groove relative to said vertical plane, differences (L-R) between said right-side deviations (R) and the immediately preceding left-side deviations (L), to controllably aligning the center of said amplitude of said one reciprocation of said welding electrode with the center of said groove in the width direction thereof at said prescribed time intervals so that said differences (L-R) become null.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method for controlling a welding robot. The method substantially comprises detecting either an actual welding current or voltage at both ends of a weaving operation of a welding torch, detecting the deviation of the weaving center from an actual weld line on a workpiece detecting a difference between a preset welding current or voltage and the actual welding current or voltage and controlling three basic drive axes of the robot to correct the locus of the weaving center by means of locus correction signals obtained through the operation of results of the detection. Due to such manner of operation, the method enables an automatic welding operation even on workpieces of poor accuracy and poor positioning.

摘要: 57 A relative weaving motion of a welding torch (12) relative to a weld line (M) is given to a welding torch, by way of composing a weld main path vector (v) for a relative movement of the weld torch along the weld line and a swing vector (W 1 , W 2 ) for a relative movement of the weld torch. And by detecting the amount of electricity corresponding to an arc of the weld torch, the amount of correction is calculated basing upon the deviation between the detected amount and a predetermined reference amount. The direction of the amount of correction is determined basing upon the swing vector. The relative movement of the weld torch relative to the weld line is performed by a vector composed of the weld main path vector, the swing vector, and the correction vector. In other words, the present invention features in that the direction of the amount of correction is definitely determined basing upon the swing vector.
