Abstract:
A textile structure for the reinforcement of a polymer material The invention relates to textile structure (100) for the reinforcement of a polymer material. The textile structure comprises in a first direction a number of bundles arranged in mutual substantially parallel position. The bundles comprise n metal filaments. The bundles have a main axis and a non-circular cross-section. For each of the bundles, the n metal filaments of a particular bundle are arranged predominantly parallel with the main axis of this particular bundle. The structure further comprises elongated positioning elements (106) to hold the bundles in mutual substantially parallel position and to hold the n metal filaments of a particular bundle predominantly parallel with the main axis of the bundle. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such a textile structure and to the use of a textile structure for the reinforcement of a polymer material.
Abstract:
A package (10) of tubes (12,14) and method for packaging a plurality of tubes (12,14) for use in a manufacturing work cell is provided that enables automation of the tubing assembly process, reduces the manual handling of the tubing to reduce possible contamination, and enables the packaging of tubes in a variety of orientations and improved shipping. Each of the tubes (12,14) may be formed as a laminate having an inner metallic layer (18) and an outer polymeric layer (20). A tether (16) is then bonded to the outer polymeric layers (20) of the tubes (12,14) by generating heat to deform the outer polymeric layers (20) and form a bond between the tubes (12,14) and the tether (16).
Abstract:
Provided is a laminated product in which the joining strength between a metal body and a resin body can be improved. The laminated product is a laminated product 1 in which a metal body 2 and a resin body 3 are joined together. The laminated product 1 includes: the metal body 2; the resin body 3; and an adhesion layer 4 disposed between the metal body 2 and the resin body 3, and containing a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic elastomer. The adhesion layer 4 has a molding shrinkage not higher than 1.5%.
