摘要： In a character shape selecting device, one of character shapes is selected to provide a character shape sequential expression for each character (in 21) of a character sequential expression from a character shape table (18) at a predetermined timing in each cycle by a combination of the character (code) in question and a backward linking characteristic (in 22) and a forward linking characteristic (in 23) of next forwardly and backwardly adjacent independent characters. The character shapes are selected in effect by classifying the independent characters of a character set into three classes in which event, the dependent characters are regarded to be in a fourth class. The independent characters are distinguished from the dependent characters with reference to a dependability stored in a character attribute table (17) together with the backward and the forward linking characteristics for each character of the set.

摘要： The apparatus comprises a dot matrix character generator (16) which includes a ROM (17) for a series of standard alphanumeric characters, for the ISO alphabets, the Kana alphabet and a series of Kanji ideograms which are more frequently used. The character generator further comprises a RAM (18) in which other Kanji idoegrams can be selectively stored. They are normally registered in an archive mass memory (47) and can be sequentially transferred to the RAM, a portion of which operates as a FIFO memory if the code required is not present therein. The character generator (16) is connected by means of an internal bus (42) to at least a video control unit (19) and a control unit (27) for a dot printer (38), which units may be served in accordance with a bus priority and arbitration logic. The printer is provided with a printer control unit (93, 82, 83, 41) having an auxiliary character generator (41) for the ISO and Kana characters and a reduced group of Kanji characters. The associates control unit (27) is capable of feeding to the printer control unit both the codes of the characters of the auxiliary generator (41) and the print signals in respect of the dots given by the main character generator (11).

摘要： The drawing diagrammatically illustrates the lay-out of a head array. The array comprises 64 sub-arrays, only sub-arrays B1 and B64 being shown. The sub-array 81 comprises 64 heads, each had being represented by two pole pieces, shows as square dots. 64 word lines (not shown) linkthe pole pieces, the first word line linking cores 63, 64; the second 61, 62; and the last cores 1, 2. A single bit line links the 64 cores in sub-array B1. The bit line is linked with odd numbered cores in one sense and with even numbered cores in the opposite sense. A pole piece is uniquely selected by energising the appropriate word line and then pulsing the bit line with a positive or negative pulse to select one or other of the two cores conditioned by the word line. The heads in each column are staggered in the x-direction so that when a recording is made by relative movement in the y-direction, the magnetic spot recorded by a head e.g. head 57 is contiguous with the magnetic spot recorded by the next consecutive head in the column. Further the magnetic spot recorded by the first head in each subsequent sub-array is contiguous with the magnetic spot recorded by the last head of the preceding sub-array.

摘要： A multi-pen type plotter printer is disclosed in which a desired character or graphic pattern is produced on the monitor paper by a selected one of a number of pens (9) arranged on a carriage (1) in accordance with an information signal. A hammer (14) is slidably and pivotally disposed on the carriage (1) for actuating the selected pen (9) into contact with the surface of the paper for plotting while the carriage and the platen (3) are moved. A blade member (4) is pivotally disposed which has a dimension wider than the width of the effective plotting range and is rotated in either direction to rotate the pusher means (14) in the same relative direction so as to cause the pusher means (14) to move toward and away from the pen (9).

摘要： A pen recorder for writing characters and graphic patterns with recording pens on a sheet of recording paper by moving the recording pens in an X-axis direction and moving the sheet of recording paper in a Y-axis direction. When a desired key on a keyboard is depressed, the recording pens and the sheet of recording paper are moved to write a character corresponding to the depressed key on the sheet of recording paper. The size of the character can relatively freely be selected by operation switches for selecting horizontal and vertical character sizes. The pen recorder is automatically controlled for the same operability when the character size is changed in any of horizontal and vertical directions. Where the character size is changed horizontally, an alarm is issued prior to the completion of recording in a recording position a prescribed number of characters prior to a preset right margin. Where the character size is changed vertically, a line spacing commensurate with the changed character size is produced in one line feed operation. Bold characters can freely be produced by recording one character twice in slightly shifted positions.

With no inking device required for the numbering device (64), the apparatus (21) is simple in overall arrangement and can be constructed less costly.
