摘要： A process is disclosed for unloading a plurality of containers (1, 2) having pressurized liquefied gas contained therein. A pressurized displacement gas (10) is fed to a first container or group of containers to discharge the liquefied gas therefrom. The displacement gas is then withdrawn from the first containers or group and is separated into a first vapor stream and a second vapor stream. The first vapor stream is heated (52) and passed to the first container or group. The second vapor stream is fed to a second container or group to discharge liquefied gas therefrom. Communication between the first container or group and the second container or group is severed and the foregoing steps are repeated for all of the containers in succession, with only the last container or group emptied of liquid remaining at the pressure of the displacement gas, and all of the containers at the end of the process except the last container or group being filled with a lower pressure vapor.

摘要： A system and a method for regasifying LNG aboard a carrier vessel before the re-vaporized natural gas is transferred to shore. The pressure of the LNG is boosted (21) substantially while the LNG is in its liquid phase and before it is flowed through a vaporizer(s) (25) which, in turn, is positioned aboard the vessel. Seawater taken from the body of water surrounding the vessel is flowed through the vaporizer (25) to heat and vaporize the LNG back into natural gas before the natural gas is off-loaded to onshore facilities.

摘要： A refrigerated ship insulation arrangement. The refrigerated ship, or reefer, comprises a plurality of cargo receiving holds 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d mounted within the hull 2 of the ship and spaced from the hull by a void 7. Each cargo receiving hold is defined by a first pair of opposing bulkhead walls (11A, 11F, Fig 3), generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the ship, and provided with an insulation layer on a surface that faces into the hold and a second pair of opposing bulkhead walls (12P, 12S, Fig 3), generally parallel with the longitudinal axis of the ship, and provided with an insulation layer 9 on a surface that faces into the void, away from the hold. A method of insulating a ship with a plurality of refrigerated cargo receiving holds is also disclosed.
