The present invention provides an efficient production method for obtaining a reduced coenzyme Q10 Form II-type crystal having a stable crystal form. The production method of the present invention comprises a step of adding a seed crystal of a Form II-type crystal to a mixed solution containing ethanol and reduced coenzyme Q10; and a step of precipitating a Form II-type crystal, wherein a dissolved concentration C i of reduced coenzyme Q10 before adding the seed crystal is equal to or more than a saturated concentration of a Form II-type crystal and less than a saturated concentration of a Form I-type crystal at a temperature T i when adding the seed crystal, and the crystal precipitation step comprises controlling a temperature T p of the mixed solution so that a dissolved concentration C p of reduced coenzyme Q10 is equal to or more than the saturated concentration of the Form II-type crystal and less than the saturated concentration of the Form I-type crystal.

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Dimethylether (Abkürzung: DME) aus Synthesegas vorgeschlagen, wobei ein Einsatz (c), der unter Verwendung von geshiftetem und/oder ungeshiftetem Synthesegas (b) gebildet wird, unter Bildung eines Produktstroms (d) einer katalytischen Umsetzung unterworfen wird. Der Produktstrom (d) wird einer ersten Auftrennung unterworfen, wobei ein Gasgemisch (k) durch zumindest teilweise Abtrennung von Methanol und/oder Wasser aus dem Produktstrom (d) gebildet wird und das Gasgemisch (k) auf einem ersten Druckniveau durch Abkühlung von einem ersten auf ein zweites Temperaturniveau teilweise kondensiert wird. Ein auf dem zweiten Temperaturniveau gasförmig bleibender Anteil (s) des Gasgemischs (k) wird in einer Absorptionskolonne (16) mit einem überwiegend Dimethylether enthaltenden Rücklauf (v) gewaschen, wobei der überwiegend Dimethylether enthaltende Rücklauf (v) zumindest teilweise aus einem bei der Abkühlung kondensierten Anteil des Gasgemischs (k) gebildet wird. Der in der Absorptionskolonne (16) nicht ausgewaschene gasförmige Anteil (x) des Gasgemischs (k) wird zumindest teilweise als Recyclingstrom (j) in den Einsatz (c) zurückgeführt und ein Dimethyletherprodukt (z) wird unter Verwendung des bei der Abkühlung kondensierten Anteils (l, q, r) des Gasgemischs (k) gebildet. With respect to reduced coenzyme Q10, there has been no report about the presence of crystal polymorphism, and it has been considered that a conventionally obtained crystal form is only one form. The present invention relates to a reduced coenzyme Q10 crystal having an endothermic peak indicating melting at 54 ± 2°C during temperature rise at a rate of 5°C/min by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and/or to a reduced coenzyme Q10 crystal showing characteristic peaks at diffraction angles (2¸ ± 0.2°) of 11.5°, 18.2°, 19.3°, 22.3°, 23.0° and 33.3° by powder X-ray (Cu-K±) diffraction. The crystal form is a novel reduced coenzyme Q10 crystal which has a higher melting point and a lower solubility in a solvent, and is more excellent in stability than the conventionally known reduced coenzyme Q10 crystal.

The present invention relates to a method of purifying reduced coenzyme Q 10 which comprises washing crystals and/or oil of reduced coenzyme Q 10 with a water-soluble organic solvent or a mixed solvent composed of a water-soluble organic solvent and water to thereby remove water-soluble impurities, especially a reducing agent or impurities derived from a reducing agent, from the crystals and/or oil of reduced coenzyme Q 10 . The present invention makes it possible to conveniently and efficiently purify reduced coenzyme Q1o in a manner excellent in operationality, and to obtain a high-quality reduced coenzyme Q 10 .

The present invention provides a reduced coenzyme Q 10 crystal with excellent stability and a composition containing said reduced coenzyme Q 10 crystals. According to the present invention, after dissolving reduced coenzyme Q 10 in a fat and oil, it is cooled, making it possible to obtain reduced coenzyme Q 10 crystals with excellent stability and which exhibit an x-ray diffraction pattern (using a CuKα emission line) that differs from ordinary reduced coenzyme Q 10 crystals. Moreover, said crystals are also excellent in bioabsorbability.
