摘要： A process for producing oganomycin E from cephamycin compound by the action of an esterase is disclosed. The cephamycin for reaction may be provided in situ bacterially. Esterase activity is provided by yeast of genus Torulopsis or by an esterase derived from the yeast. Type strain Torulopgis sp. YE-08907L is described as representative of a yeast having the characteristic enzymic esterase activity.

摘要： Novel DNA sequences which are responsive to the presence of methanol, catabolite non-repressing carbon sources and carbon source starvation are provided. In addition, novel constructs including these DNA sequences, as well as transformed organisms therewith are provided. Processes for producing the DNA sequences and constructs of the invention are detailed. The production of polypeptide product under the control of the regulatory regions of the invention is demonstrated.
