[SOLUTION]
The engine device of the present invention comprises: a first cylinder and a second cylinder arranged horizontally and opposed to each other, and pistons within the cylinders advance and retract in opposite directions to each other; a first crankshaft and a second crankshaft arranged in the vertical direction, driven by the first cylinder and the second cylinder, respectively, and rotate in opposite directions to each other; a first centrifugal clutch and a second centrifugal clutch rotate in opposite directions to each other; a final drive shaft transmitting rotational force to a gear mechanism comprising orthogonal transform gears, to rotate a propeller shaft; a one-way clutch arranged between
(1) the first crankshaft, the second crankshaft and

The drive unit disposed at an intermediate position between a front wheel and a rear wheel includes a transmission mechanism (25) that transmits a resultant force of a human driving force and an auxiliary driving force from a motor while changing multiple gears. The transmission mechanism (25) includes a transmission weight (81) whose orientation is changed according to a centrifugal force during a rotation of the transmission weight (81). An increase in the rotation speed of a crank shaft (7a) changes the orientations of the transmission weights (81) so as to change from a low gear to a high gear.
