Abstract:
A data storage device is disclosed comprising a non-energy assist (NEA) head configured to access a first disk surface, and an energy assist (EA) head configured to access a second disk surface. The data storage device further comprises control circuitry configured to write data to the first disk surface, and migrate at least part of the data to the second disk surface.
Abstract:
A car audio output control device and a method therefor are disclosed. The control device stores, in advance, an identification code for each output mode with respect to a plurality of output modes and receives a device acoustic source and an identification code defining an attribute of the device acoustic source from a peripheral device. When an acoustic source is generated by the peripheral device, the control device controls a car audio output such that when a device acoustic source and an identification code are received while a source acoustic source self-generated by a car audio is outputted, the control device selects one output mode matched with the received identification code from among the plurality of output modes and controls the source acoustic source and the device acoustic source according to the selected output mode so as to change the car audio output. An acoustic source path and acoustic source state of a car audio output are controlled so as to be different with respect to each of the plurality of output modes. Therefore, a car audio output change can be optimally controlled so as to be suitable for an acoustic source attribute, and a user can clearly recognize important information provided as an acoustic source in any situation.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for controlling a magnetic domain wall of a magnetic structure and a magnetic memory device using same. The method includes: a first step of applying a first magnetic field in a first direction to a magnetic structure having a plurality of magnetic domains and a magnetic domain wall between the magnetic domains, and applying a second magnetic field in a second direction to the magnetic structure, the first direction being parallel to the magnetization direction of the magnetic domain wall and the second direction being parallel to the magnetization direction of the magnetic domain wall; and a second step of applying a third magnetic field in a direction opposite to the first direction to the magnetic structure and applying a fourth magnetic field in a direction opposite to the second direction to the magnetic structure, wherein the magnetic domain wall can be moved uniformly in a direction parallel to the magnetization direction of the magnetic domain wall or the magnetization direction of the magnetic domains.

To provide a magnetic element capable of performing skyrmion transfer, a skyrmion memory to which this magnetic element is applied, and a shift register, for example, a magnetic element capable of performing skyrmion transfer is provided, the magnetic element providing a transverse transfer arrangement in which the skyrmion is transferred substantially perpendicular to a current between an upstream electrode and a downstream electrode, and including a plurality of stable positions in which the skyrmion exists more stably than in other regions of a magnet, and a skyrmion sensor that detects a position of the skyrmion.
Abstract:
Provided is a card reader with which the illegitimate acquisition of magnetic information by a criminal can be prevented even when it is possible to determine whether magnetic data has been recorded on the magnetic stripe on a card that has been inserted from a card insertion port, and with which the cost can be reduced. This card reader is equipped with a magnetic sensor (8) for detecting whether magnetic data has been recorded on the magnetic stripe of a card, and a control unit (14) that supplies power to the magnetic sensor (8) and receives an input of an output signal from the magnetic sensor (8). The magnetic sensor (8) outputs an output signal when power is supplied from the control unit (14). When the card transit time is defined as the time from when a recording region for magnetic data recorded on the magnetic stripe on a card inserted into the card insertion port begins to pass by the magnetic sensor (8) until the time when the recording region finishes passing by, the control unit (14) supplies power to the magnetic sensor (8) for a first supply time that is shorter than the card transit time.

An electric field writing magnetic storage device including: a rotatable disk including a substrate and a magnetic recording film provided on a surface of the substrate, the magnetic recording film including at least one ferromagnetic and ferroelectric layer; a writing device writing information into the magnetic recording film by means of an electric field, the writing device including a writing electrode generating a dielectric flux between the writing electrode and the substrate by having electric potential to the substrate; and a writing circuit choosing one electric potential among plurality of electric potential level and applying the chosen one electric potential to the writing electrode in every operation of writing information, wherein the dielectric flux generated according to the electric potential applied to the writing electrode by the writing circuit magnetizes the ferromagnetic and ferroelectric layer in a specific direction.
Abstract:
In a recordable optical disc including at least one recording layer, write strategy information is recorded within disc control information, so that standardized disc control information can be uniformly applied to data recording and reproduction. At least one disc information is recorded as the disc control information within the management area. The disc control information is recorded per at least one write strategy type for a same writing speed and recording layer. The write strategy type recorded in the corresponding disc information is determined by recording write strategy parameters of the optionally determined write strategy type among applicable write strategy types.
