The invention refers to a method for producing and using an EDM- (Electrical Discharge Machine) electrode comprising the steps of providing a holder for holding a blank; providing a blank; clamping said blank in said holder; machining of said blank clamped in the holder, into said EDM electrode at a plurality of machining centers (machines), wherein the holder holding said blank and the machined blank, respectively, is clamped in a chuck of the respective processing center, and wherein said machined blank remains in the holder during all processing steps of said EDM electrode; clamping of said holder, which still clamps said EDM- electrode, in a tool chuck of an EDM center; performing EDM machining, in particular sink EDM machining at a workpiece by said EDM electrode. An electrode applied in electro-machining processes is provided. The electrode comprises a main body portion and at least one built-in internal flushing passage for introducing a flushing liquid to a volume between the electrode and a workpiece to be machined. The electrode is made by an additive fabrication process that enables specialized flushing for enhancing waste material evacuation and incorporate special material properties like zones of high electrical conductivity and thermal resistance. The fabrication process produces materials and geometries that could not otherwise be made using conventional processing.

The invention relates to a method for producing a thread in a bore (2) by remote automatic machining characterised in that said method consists in introducing into the bore (2) an electrode (11) provided with a thread (20) whose shape and dimensions are pre-determined according to the shape and dimensions of an inside thread to be produced, in machining the internal threads by electroerosion displacing the electrode (11) in an orbital manner in the bore (2) according to a predetermined number of operations and in adjusting the machining parameters according to each operation. A device for carrying out said method is also disclosed.
