[Problem] To provide an air filter material in which spun bond nonwoven fabric and melt blown nonwoven fabric are laminated and integrated without reducing air permeability. [Solution] Spun bond nonwoven fabric comprises, as constituting filament, conjugate polyester continuous filaments having a cross-sectional shape of a nearly "Y4"-like shape. The continuous filament is composed of a nearly V-shape portion 6 in the nearly Y4-like shape, formed from low melting point polyester, and the other nearly + shape portion 5 therein, formed from high melting point polyester. The continuous filaments are heat-bonded with each other by the low melting point polyester. The spun bond nonwoven fabric is bonded by a powder type or spider web type hot melt adhesive agent with the melt blown nonwoven fabric.

Multi-layered articles that include a first textile and an adhesive layer having a non-uniform adhesive pattern is provided. The non-uniform adhesive pattern creates regions free or substantially free of adhesive. The adhesive regions, together with the non-adhesive regions, create a visible pattern on the surface of the article. A second textile may optionally be bonded to the adhesive opposing the first textile to form a multi-layered article. The first textile or adhesive layer may be shrinkable or expandable. Additionally, the multi-layered article has a stretch force at 20% elongation of less than three times the stretch force of the first textile at 20% elongation. The multi-layered articles are breathable, insulative, aesthetically pleasing, and demonstrate superior stretch and recovery properties.

A mesh body made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) having good orientation and having relatively high heat resistance is provided. Each of a split web 1 (longitudinal web) and a slit web 6 (lateral web) has a three-layer structure including a layer (main layer) made of a first thermoplastic resin and bonding layers made of a second thermoplastic resin provided on the respective surfaces of the main layer. The second thermoplastic resin has a heat-sealing property at a temperature lower than a melting point of the first thermoplastic resin. A nonwoven fabric 8 is formed by laminating crosswise a longitudinal web and a lateral web via their bonding layers so that orientation axes of the webs cross perpendicularly to each other. The first thermoplastic resin is PET. The second thermoplastic resin is an amorphous PET copolymer. Before laminating crosswise the webs, their surfaces (bonding layers) are applied with a corona treatment.

A heat-fusion bonding adhesive is prepared by heating a thermoplastic resin to a temperature of no less than the softening temperature of the resin and then dispersing the resin in the softened state in an aqueous medium. Dispersing the thermoplastic resin in the aqueous medium is conducted, for example, by applying a shear force to the aqueous medium by stirring. In this case, stirring of the aqueous medium is preferably conducted till the thermoplastic resin is divided into particles with a weight-average particle size of 0.1-20 mu m.
