On place directement sur chaque molette (M) concernée de la tête de forage du tunnelier un ou plusieurs capteurs (1-4) choisis parmi les capteurs aptes à fournir des signaux représentatifs de la force de pénétration de la molette dans le terrain, de l'état de rotation, de la position et de la température de la molette et on transmet ces informations au conducteur du tunnelier. L'invention s'applique notamment à la détection de roches dures lors du creusement d'une excavation dans un terrain au moyen d'un tunnelier.

Die Schneidradanordnung (4) ist mit einem Antrieb (16, 18) antreibbar. Die Schneidradanordnung (4) weist ein inneres Schneidrad (5) und ein äußeres Schneidrad (6) auf, wobei das innere Schneidrad (5) konzentrisch innerhalb des äußeren Schneidrads (6) angeordnet ist. Der Antrieb verfügt über eine äußere Antriebseinheit (16) zum Antrieb des äußeren Schneidrads (6) und eine innere Antriebseinheit (18) zum Antrieb des inneren Schneidrads (6), wobei mit den Antriebseinheiten (16, 18) die Schneidräder (5, 6) paarweise zu gegenläufigen Drehungen antreibbar sind. Weiterhin ist eine und Steuereinheit (22) vorhanden, mit der die Schneidräder (5, 6) beaufschlagende einander entgegengerichtete Drehmomente so aufeinander einstellbar sind, dass unter Verringerung des Wirkdrehmoments ein verrollungssicherer Vortrieb erfolgt.
