Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for use in cold rolling oil, for the purpose of obtaining a cold rolling oil which is excellent in the emulsion stability and lubricity when used cyclicly over a long period and which is capable of contributing to the improvements of the surface quality of a rolled material and of the working atmosphere. SOLUTION: This additive for use in cold rolling oil includes a nonionic surfactant expressed by formula (a): R1-O-[(PO) x (EO) z (PO) y ]-R2, wherein R1 and R2 are each an alkyl group, a fatty acid residue, a hydroxyfatty acid residue, a polyester hydroxystearate residue or a polybutylene oxide residue; PO is an oxypropylene group; EO is an oxyethylene group; x, y and z are each an average addition number of moles, x+y ranges 3-30; z ranges 10-200; and PO and EO are each an adduct in a block form and has a molecular weight of from 2,000 or more to less than 10,000. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make lubrication in an application point favorable for a long period of time by specifying an additive added to a lubricant composition which is obtained by thickening base oil with a gelling agent, by recovering the reformation of a network in an early stage, and by making an effect of the additive appear.SOLUTION: There is provided the lubrication composition which contains: (A) the base oil; (B) the gelling agent which is at least one kind of an amino acid gelling agent and a benzylidenesorbitol gelling agent; (C) at least one kind of an anti-rust agent whose specific inductive capacity at 1,000 Hz is not smaller than 1,000 and an anti-wear agent; and a mixture of at least one kind of an anti-rust agent whose specific inductive capacity at 1,000 Hz is smaller than 1,000 and the anti-wear agent. There is also provided a rolling bearing sealed with the lubricant composition.
Abstract:
A lubricant composition comprises (1) at least one member selected from the group consisting of carboxylic acid compounds each obtained by the addition of an oxyalkylene group to a hydroxyl group of a hydroxy carboxylic acid and alkali metal salts and amine salts thereof; and (2) at least one base oil selected from the group consisting of alkyl benzene, normal paraffin, isoparaffin and alpha-olefin. The lubricant composition is highly resistant to putrefaction when it is used as a metal-processing oil composition and shows excellent cutting characteristics in the metal-processing, which requires an extremely high lubricating action, such as form-rolling tap and deep hole boring. Moreover, the composition makes operations such as metal-processing operations easy since the liquid obtained by diluting it with water is transparent or translucent.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil additive composition having both excellent viscosity index improvement effect and excellent fluidity. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil additive composition includes a viscosity index improving agent and a polyalkylene glycol compound. The lubricating oil additive composition has both excellent viscosity index improvement effect and excellent fluidity. The method to easily produce such a lubricating oil additive composition is also provided. A lubricating oil composition having sufficiently high viscosity index and sufficiently reduced volatility and a method to easily produce such a lubricating oil composition are provided by compounding such a lubricating oil additive composition. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroforming lubricant, which exhibits excellent lubrication and seizure preventing performance to prevent break, buckling, damage on the surface during processing even when highly precise hydroforming processing is carried out and can improve removability of a lubrication coating; a hydroforming metallic tube using the lubricant, and a hydroforming processing method. SOLUTION: The hydroforming lubricant comprises 20-98 wt.% of wax with a melting point 45-110°C on a solid weight basis, and the rest of the hydroforming lubricant consists of a soluble aqueous resin or a surfactant. Preferably, the wax consists of one or more kinds of wax among carnauba wax, lanolin, and paraffin, while the soluble aqueous resin consists of one or more kinds of resin among acrylic resin with molecular weight of 5,000-100,000, polyalkylene glycol with molecular weight of 800-35,000, urethane resin, polylactic acid, and polyvinyl alcohol.
