SOLUTION: A piece of radiation shielding safety glass 10 is obtained by joining cover glass plates 10b to both sides of a radiation shielding glass plate 10a with a resin layers 10c sandwiched therebetween, respectively. Each of the cover glass plates 10b is composed of glass containing a composition with a total amount of alkali metal oxides of ≤2% by mass percentage of oxide conversion and having a density of 3 , and has a thickness of 50 to 1,000 μm.
