PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent plane having a metal back with high brightness of which, an electron emitting element and the fluorescent plane are prevented from breakage and deterioration caused by discharge. SOLUTION: The fluorescent plane with a metal back has a metal back layer with high reflection rate.high resistance. A layer of oxide of In, Sn, or Bi is used as the metal back layer with high reflection rate.high resistance. For the fluorescent plane with metal back, the metal back layer is possible to form into a lamination structure of a layer with high reflection rate formed to phosphor layer side, and a high resistance layer. Here, the layer with high reflection rate can be constructed by Al, In, Sn, or Bi, and a layer of oxide or nitride of Al, In, Sn, Bi, or Si can be used as the high resistance layer. SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises (a) charcoal as a food additive and (b) a water-insoluble solvent as a food additive. The inkjet ink is prepared for inkjet printing from the ink composition, where all the constituents are classified into either one of food additives and foods. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet ink for printing on an eggshell that does not require purification or the like of raw materials, hardly blots, causes neither color elution nor color penetration into albumen on preparing a boiled egg, and gives a high printing density. SOLUTION: The water-based dispersion of charcoal is obtained by dispersing charcoal (component (a)) as a food additive in water (component (b)) by oxidizing it using a sodium hypochlorite solution (component (c)) as a food additive. The ink composition is mainly composed of the dispersion, where all the constituents are classified into any one of food additives, foods and water. The printing method on an eggshell comprises printing by an inkjet method using an inkjet ink which is prepared for inkjet printing from the dispersion or the ink composition, where all the constituents are classified into any one of food additives, foods and water.
