    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection control device for a multicylinder internal combustion engine, in which development man-hours and costs are largely reduced, and the multicylinder is provided at low cost. SOLUTION: In groups of two cylinders of which the injection timings are continuous, an injection amount and injection timing of a first cylinder of each group are calculated once for every group (S110). An injection instruction value with respect to the first cylinder of each group is calculated from the injection amount and injection timing (S120). Each timing of the injection instruction value obtained in S120 is corrected by 90 deg. crank angle to calculate an injection instruction value with respect to a second cylinder of each group (S140). The calculation of the injection amount and injection timing is not performed for all of eight cylinders one by one, but the injection amount and injection timing are calculated for each group. Therefore, the number of calculations of the injection amount and injection timing is half so that a control system of an engine of which the number of cylinders is half can be utilized as it is.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect a miadiew with simple constitution in utilizing a part of the existing control processing by calculating the generating frequency of a variation in fuel compensation value in an idling state. CONSTITUTION:An electronic controller 50 performs idling stabilizing treatment as a part of its fuel injection control, namely, compensates a fuel injection quantity for increase or decrease on the basis of speed variations in an internal combustion engine 1 at the time of idling, thereby executing such a process as promoting the idling stabilization. Here, a reverse state to be reversed from the increment side to the decrement side and vice versa by the absolute value to which fuel compensating value is equal is detected. Then, a fact of whether a count value of the reverse state exceeds the specified value within the specified time or not is judged, thereby finding occurrence frequency of the reverse state, and when the occurrence frequency is high, it is so judged that a misfire has occurred in the internal combustion engine 1. With this constitution, since the misfire being incurred in the engine 1 is detectable with simple constitution, a control program being stored in the electronic controller 50 for achieving the constitution can get off with a short one.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To promptly further accurately detect only a cylinder of abnormality by changing angular speed reference value in the next cylinder to a value larger than the normal updated value, when a rotary angular speed of an output shaft decreases lower than the angular speed reference value in an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:A rotary angular speed of an output shaft in an internal combustion engine M1 is detected by a means M2, synchronizing with a stroke of each cylinder. While it is discriminated by a means M3 whether or not a rotary angular speed of a predetermined stroke in each cylinder is smaller than the angular speed reference value set from a rotary angular speed before the predetermined stroke. Further the angular speed reference value in the next cylinder is changed by a means M4 being based on the rotary angular speed. When the rotary angular speed is smaller than the angular speed reference value, a cylinder of abnormality is detected by a means M5. Here the angular speed reference value is changed by a means M6 to a value larger than the value updated in the means M4. Thus, even when an irregular misfire or the like is generated in the other cylinder, the cylinder of abnormality is promptly further accurately detected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a memory to be restored by itself even though its content is erased by changing a feedback correction factor in such a way as shifting an air-fuel ratio derived from a fuel injection quantity to the lean side when a deposit learning value reaches a preset value. CONSTITUTION:A basic fuel injection quantity is calculated by a means A on the basis of a load on an internal combustion engine and its rotational speed. And also the correction factor of air-fuel ratio feedback control is calculated by a means B on the basis of the output of an O2 sensor B1. Furthermore, a deposit learning value is renewed by a means C or the basis of the output of the O2 sensor B1 during a transient phase, and fuel is injected into the air intake system of an internal combustion engine, by a means D. On the other hand, a fuel injection quantity is calculated by a means E on the basis of a feedback correction factor and the deposit learning value, while the means D is controlled by a means F in compliance with this calculation result. In addition, the correction factor is changed by a means G so that the air-fuel ratio is shifted to the lean side when the deposit learning value reaches its preset value.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To promote the improvement of diagnostic ability for an exhaust gas purifying device or the like, by inhibiting the execution of trouble diagnosis for predetermined items when a negative pressure switch detects a low negative pressure during idle operation of an engine on the high ground. CONSTITUTION:An engine control unit 42 inputs signals of a negative pressure switch 19A turned on for a negative pressure in an intake pipe 18 higher than a predetermined value, negative pressure switch 19B turned on if the negative pressure in the intake pipe 18 decreases less than a lower predetermined value, throttle switch 16, O2 sensor 22, engine speed sensor 38, water temperature sensor 40, etc., and trouble diagnosis for feedback (FB) control, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and the negative pressure switch is performed on the basis of a signal of the negative pressure switch 19A when an operative condition is that a high negative pressure is generated on the high ground. On the contrary, in the case of a condition that the negative pressure switch 19B detects a low negative diagnosis for, for instance, the FB control, whose wrong diagnosis easily occurs on the high ground, is inhibited. In this way, the trouble diagnosis, increasing its ability, can be accurately performed for the negative pressure switch and an exhaust gas purifying device on the high ground.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable purification of exhaust gas without using an oxidation catalyst, by a method wherein an amount of air fed to fuel-air mixture upon starting and accelerating a vehicle and feeding motion for secondary air to exhaust system are controlled. CONSTITUTION:When an engine 10 is shifted to a starting and acceleration state, all the output signals from the comparators of a pressure-in-suction-pipe sensor PS1, a water temperature sensor TWS1, a throttle position sensor TPS1, and a number of revolutions sensor AS1 produce a low level signal. Thus, a second gate circuit 11e is closed. Meanwhile, even if the pressure at a carburetter throttle port 10c is shifted about to an atmospheric pressure, since a negative pressure is transferred in a delay to a diaphragm chamber 10fD of a secondary air control valve (ASV)10f by a negative pressure delay valve 10p, an ASV sensor VS2 outputs a high level signal. Thereby, a gate circuit 11c and a gate circuit 11g are opened, and simultaneously a gate circuit 11i is closed. Thus, while secondary air is being fed in a condition that the ASV10f is opened, the opening of a bleed air control valve 10e is determined according to a content stored in a memory 11h.

CONSTITUTION:An air bleed amount control valve 7 is mounted to a carburetter 1, and control is effected by means of a control circuit 8. Singlas from various sensors 9-13 are inputted to the control circuit 8, and upper and lower limit values Imin and Imax1 of an air bleed amount are set by means of a first guard circuit 83. When it is detected that an engine is in a cold down state, on acceleration state, or a thinned state of an air fuel ratio, a second guard circuit 84 is actuated, and the upper limit value is set to Imax2 lower than the Imax1. This constitution enables prevention of an air-fuel ratio from being excesively thinned during cold down.
