PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing toners by which scrubbing, filtering and drying steps, particularly drying time can be shortened in relation to pulverized and polymerized toners without deteriorating the performances of the toners. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing toners by subjecting toner particles to scrubbing, filtration, and agitation drying by warming under reduced pressure, fluidity improving particles are added in the agitation drying. When an external additive is added to the dried toner particles and processed, the fluidity improving particles and the external additive are set to be the same. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating whether a masterbatch for a toner is good or not, and to provide a good masterbatch for a toner obtained by the evaluation method and a toner. SOLUTION: In the method for evaluating a masterbatch for a toner consisting essentially of a binder resin and a colorant, whether relation satisfying -6≤logRm-logRr is established or not between the volume resistivity Rr (Ωcm) of the binder resin and the volume resistivity Rm (Ωcm) of the masterbatch is ascertained. The masterbatch for a toner establishes relation satisfying -6≤logRm-logRr according to the evaluation method. The toner comprises the masterbatch for a toner and has a volume average particle diameter of ≤7 μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a capsule toner using toner base particles and resin fine particles, by which resin fine particles are sufficiently disintegrated to suppress generation of white spots in a fixed image, and to provide the capsule toner.SOLUTION: The production method of a capsule toner includes a cooling step, an adhering step and a filming step. In the cooling step, resin fine particles are cooled to a temperature equal to or lower than the brittleness temperature. In the adhering step, the resin fine particles cooled in the cooling step is fed as kept at the temperature equal to or lower than the brittleness temperature into a powder flow passage where the toner base particles flow, and the toner particles and the resin fine particles are mixed while stirring to adhere the resin fine particles to the surfaces of the toner base particles to obtain toner base particles with resin fine particles. In the filming step, stirring is continued until the resin fine particles on the surfaces of the toner base particles with resin fine particles form a film so as to form a resin coating layer on the surfaces of the toner base particles.
