    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a liquid crystal polyester composition excellent in mold releasability and hardly causing blister under high temperature.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal polyester composition is produced by feeding a liquid crystal polyester and a polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester into an extruder having a vent portion, followed by melt-kneading in a state where the degree of decompression of the vent portion is -0.06 MPa or less in terms of a gauge pressure. The feed amount of polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester is preferably 0.1-1.0 pt.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the liquid crystal polyester.
