    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a resin sheet using a resin that may be molded by extrusion, excellent in thermoformability and in resistance to hot water, and to provide a molded article using the same. SOLUTION: A resin sheet is provided, to be used for the formation of the surface layer of a molded article, which is formed of a methacrylic resin whose glass transition temperature is 120 deg.C or higher, such as a resin having as an essential component a polymer containing maleimide monomeric units occupying 3 wt.% or more of the whole structural units. Also provided is a molded article covered by a surface layer formed by thermoforming the above resin sheet.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which gives a cured coating film excellent in appearance and hardness and is excellent in storage stability by dispersing in an aqueous medium a compound which contains maleimido groups and is solid at a specified temperature. SOLUTION: The composition is formed by dispersing in an aqueous medium a compound (A) which contains maleimido groups and is solid at 30 deg.C, for example, an acrylic resin containing maleimido groups, having a softening point of 75 deg.C and obtained by reacting methyl methacrylate, n-butyl methacrylate and glycidyl rnethacrylate to give an epoxidized polymer and then reacting the obtained polymer with N-(5-carboxy)pentylmaleimide, or dispersing in an aqueous medium a composition which contains as the essential constituents a compound containing maleimido groups and a compound having C-C double bonds copolymerizable therewith and which is solid at 30 deg.C, or dispersing in an aqueous medium the compound A and a compound which has C-C double bonds copolymerizable with the compound A and is solid at 30 deg.C.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mesogenic group-containing bismaleimide having two reactive terminal maleimide groups, containing a cross-linkable mesogenic group, and useful as a cross-linking agent for liquid crystals. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I (A is a 3-20C alkylene chain or the like; M is a mesogen comprising at least two rings which are bound to each other at the para-positions through a single bond, a C≡C bond, an ester bond, an amide bond or the like; R is H, a 1-8C alkyl, phenyl or a halogen). For example, a compound of formula II. The compound of formula I wherein X is C(O)0 or C(O)NH is obtained by converting a compound of formula III into the corresponding acid chloride, and then reacting two equivalents of the corresponding acid chloride with a compound of the formula: HO-M-OH or H2N-M- NH2 at a temp. of 0-70 deg.C in a proper solvent, if desired, in the presence of a catalyst and/or an acid receptor.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound containing unsaturated groups different in reactivity, useful as a cross-linkable monomer. SOLUTION: This compound is shown by formula I [R is OR or NR R (R to R are each H, >=1C alkyl or a hydroxyalkyl)] such as methyl-α-(maleimidomethyl)acrylate. The compound of formula I is obtained, for example, by reacting an α-halogen-substituted methyl acrylate of formula II (e.g. methyl-α-bromomethyl acrylate or the like) or an α-halogen-substituted methylacrylamide of formula II with a maleimide of formula III in the presence of an organic solvent (tetrahydrofuran or the like) by the use of a dehydrohalogenating agent (e.g. triethylamine or the like) as a reaction catalyst at a room temperature to 100 deg.C. The above-mentioned compound is polymerized by a polymerization method such as radical, anionic or cationic polymerization or the like to give a cross-linking type polymer having high heat resistance and high hardness.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a latent image having high electrostatic charges and to stably maintain the latent image by forming an outer layer of a fluorocarbon resin, forming an inner layer of a semiconducting polyimide and specifying the electrostatic capacity and conductivity of the outer layer and conductivity of the inner layer. SOLUTION: This seamless belt essentially consists of two layers of an outer layer of a fluorocarbon resin and an inner layer of a semiconducting polyimide. The outer layer has 80 to 800pF/cm electrostatic capacity and conductivity and the inner layer has 10 to 10 μS/cm conductivity. The fluorocarbon resin is preferably a copolymer or tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroalkylvinyl ether and/or a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene. The semiconducting polyimide is preferably a thermoplastic or thermosetting polyimide containing conductive carbon black.
