SOLUTION: A cross coupling reaction is carried out between carbon atoms of an aromatic group by using a palladium catalyst, for example, a compound of formula I (Ar and Ar are each an aromatic group; X is a halogen, an alkane or an allenesulfonyloxy; Ar and Ar may be bonded to form a ring; R is a substituent group; (l) is 0-4) and a compound of formula II (Ar is a monofunctional to hexafunctional aromatic group; X is a group to be bonded by Mg, Zn, B, Cu, Al, Si or Sn; (m) is 1-6) are subjected to cross coupling to give a compound containing two or more aromatic amines and at least one aromatic hydrocarbon-based ring collected group.

SOLUTION: This nitrotoluene derivative is produced by reacting trimethylsulfonium iodide with a nitrobenzene derivative wherein at least one of the ortho positions is not substituted, in the presence of a base. The nitrobenzene derivative as the starting raw material is especially preferably a compound of formula I (R1 , R2 are each an alkyl, an alkenyl, a cycloalkyl, a halogen, an aromatic group, etc.; Ra , Rb are each H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, a cycloalkyl, etc.), and the 2-nitotoluene derivative is preferably a compound of formula II. A compound of formula IV is obtained from a compound of formula III. A compound of formula V among the compounds obtained by the reaction, such as 3-benzyloxy-6-trifluoromethyl-2-nitrotoluene, is new.

The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III in the molar ratio of 1:2 to 1:2.5 in a solvent (e.g. benzene) in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid, etc., under heating and removing formed water from the system. When the compound of formula I is used as an organic electroluminescent element, an illuminant having high luminance, high efficiency, heat stability and long life by amorphous properties is obtained. When the compound is used as an electrophotographic receptor element, an illuminant having excellent hole transportation efficiency, slight light deterioration, slight thermal deterioration and slight mechanical deterioration and high sensitivity and useful for high printing resistance is obtained.

摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound useful as an intermediate raw material for pharmaceuticals, agrichemicals and information recording materials with simple process in high yield by reacting pentafluorobenzofc acid with ammonia in an aqueous medium. CONSTITUTION:Pentafluorobenzoic acid is made to react with ammonia in an aqueous medium at 40-230 deg.C. After the reaction, the reaction solution is separated into an oily layer and an aqueous layer by distillation, etc., and the objective 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoroaniline is separated from the oily layer. The aqueous layer is reused in the reaction. The amount of ammonia is 2-60mol based on 1mol of pentafluorobenzoic acid. Pentafluorobenzoic acid can be produced by the hydrolysis of pentafluorobenzonitrile in an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid.
