    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure coating apparatus that can easily perform gravure coating as required even when a feed rate of a coating agent is set low.
    SOLUTION: In the gravure coating apparatus 1, a coating agent 60 supplied from a supply unit 4 is stored in a primary storage chamber 15 of a doctor nozzle 3 and set at a required flow rate via a measuring channel 18, and transported from the primary storage chamber 15 to a secondary storage chamber 21 after being uniformly distributed. The secondary storage chamber 21 of the doctor nozzle 3 is closed by a doctor blade 6, a storage plate 7, a gravure roll 2, a support member 5 and a side panel 8. The coating agent 60 overflowing the secondary storage chamber 21 is recycled from the secondary storage chamber 21 to the supply unit 4 via a recovery pipe 9.
