    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to efficiently control a brake by providing a detection means for calculating a learning pressure decrease value and a pressure increase value during learning control cycle, and by obtaining a present pressure decrease value during control cycle after learning control cycle so as to estimate a lock limit pressure for computing a desired pressure increase value. CONSTITUTION:Learning pressure decrease and increase value detecting means M2, M3 obtain learning pressure decrease and increase values corresponding to pressures which are increased and decreased under learning control cycle. Further, a present pressure decrease detecting means M4 obtains a present pressure increase value corresponding to a pressure which is decreased during control cycle after leaning control cycle. Further, a desired pressure increase instructing valve computing means M5 computes an initial desired pressure increase value in accordance with the above- mentioned detection values during control cycle during which the present pressure increase value is obtained, and delivers thus obtained value as a desired pressure increase instructing signal. With this arrangement, the pressure is increase to a value near to a lock limit pressure in accordance with the desired pressure increase value even at first time during control cycle after leaning control cycle, thereby it is possible to perform effective brake operation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten the braking distance by judging the road surface condition on the basis of the wheel speed, changing the control slope when the brake pressure for the wheel increases in accordance with the result from this judgement, and controlling the brake pressure optimumly according to the road surface condition. CONSTITUTION:The brake pressure for a wheel M1 is adjusted by a control valve M2. The speed of this wheel M1 is sensed by a wheel speed sensor M3. The control valve M2 is controlled by a control means M4 so as to prevent lock of the wheel M1 on the basis of a signal given by this wheel speed sensor M3. In this device a road surface condition judging means M5 judges whether the road condition is bad on the basis of a signal given by the wheel speed sensor M3. According to the result from judgement made by this road surface condition judging means M5, a gradient change means M6 changes the control gradient when the brake pressure for the wheel M1 increases. Thereby the wheel speed is converged quickly to near the reference speed regardless of the road surface condition, and thereby the brake distance is shortened.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To favorably control intensifying brake pressure by changing intensified pressure gradient of brake pressure according to change of the slip condition of wheels, and enabling to correctly detect the slip condition of wheels. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition in which brake pressure is held before and after pressure intensification, after the lapse of judging time T1 required for reduction of variation of wheel speed VW** generated by pressure intensification, an ECU 30 computes a wheel slip quantity V**, deviation between estimated vehicle speed VB and the wheel speed VW**, respectively before and after the pressure intensification. As variation of the wheel slip quantity V** is larger, the holding time T2 is lengthened, the pressure intensifying time T3 is shortened, and hence intensified pressure gradient is mitigated. Thus, pressure intensification of brake pressure can be favorably controlled.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase vehicle stability when an idler wheel is in a certain slip condition at the time of braking by restricting brake oil pressure for the idler wheel while limiting increase of brake oil pressure for a drive wheel, and releasing the limit in a predetermined time after such restriction is unnecessary any more. CONSTITUTION:If, at the time of braking operation, it is detected by an idler wheel condition detecting means M5 that slip condition of an idler wheel M2 is in a predetermined slip condition, brake oil pressure for the idler wheel M2 is restricted by an idler wheel oil pressure restricting means M6 so as to reduce slip at the idler wheel M2. Corresponding to control of brake oil pressure at this idler wheel M2, increase of brake oil pressure for a drive wheel M3 is limited by a drive wheel oil pressure limiting means M7. At this time, the time duration from start of restricting the oil pressure till restriction becomes unnecessary is measured by a measuring means M8, and once restriction becomes unnecessary, limit of the brake oil pressure is released by an oil pressure limit releasing means M9 at a predetermined ratio based on the detected time duration.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve running properties and braking ability by a method wherein based on the running state of a vehicle, control of right and left rear wheels is collected to some of a select low control, independent limit control, independent control, and the selection causes regulation of the lock tendency of right and left rear wheels. CONSTITUTION:The speeds of left and right rear wheels 5 and 7 of a vehicle are respectively detected by a means M1. Based on the detecting speed of each of the left and right rear wheels, the lock tendencies of the left and right rear wheels are individually decided by a means M2. Meanwhile, the running state of a vehicle is detected by a means M4. Based on the detecting running state of a vehicle, control of the left and right wheels 5 and 7 is selected to some of a select low control, independent limit control, and independent control by means of a means M3. According to selected control of the rear wheels, the lock tendencies of the left and right rear wheels 5 and 7 are regulated to control a brake pressure by means of a means M5. This constitution performs control of the rear wheel optimum to a continuous operation state, and improves running properties and braking ability.

CONSTITUTION:When a car body velocity is in a normal range, a wheel velocity used for control is given at average velocity, or the wheel velocity is given at wheel instantaneous velocity when it is at a low speed. When the wheel velocity is slower than a fixed value, pressure reduction control is carried out to T10, and when the wheel velocity is recovered to the fixed value, pressure increase control is carried out to T30. When the car body velocity is in the normal range at the time of pressure increase control, the pressure is increased by a relatively abrupt pressure increase characteristic (b), and when the velocity is in the low range, the pressure increase control is carried out by a characteristic (a) of slower increase tendency compared with the characteristic (b). Delay in the timing of pressure reduction at the time of low velocity is prevented, and the control period of lock and recovery of wheels is prevented from becoming shorter, since the pressure increase characteristic is slow at the time of low velocity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress noise and perform certain control by stopping a motor, which collects the braking liquid in a reserver to a brake device, while the car is running at low speed with the anti-skid control in effect, and operating it while the car is running at a high speed out of anti-skid control. CONSTITUTION:When it is in decompression mode while anti-skid control is performed on the basis of the wheel revolving speed sensed by a sensor M1, the braking liquid of a brake device is bled by a means M2 to a reserver and decompressed, while a motor M3 is operated so that the braking liquid in the reserver will be collected to the brake device. In this arrangement No. 1 means M4 makes control so as to stop the motor M3 when it is under anti-skid control and the car speed is below a certain value. If out of anti-skid control and the car speed is over the specified value under the condition that the motor M3 has been put into standstill, No. 2 means M5 makes control so as to operate the motor M3.
