    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate abrupt change in control and running performance by calculating a weight coefficient that changes gradually in a predetermined range according to a running condition of an automobile, and by controlling a driving torque of an engine by means of making a comparison between a weight average speed of a driving wheel based on the weight coeficient and a reference speed. CONSTITUTION:In order to prevent a driving wheel A from slipping at the time of accelerating an automobile, a driving torque of an engine B is controlled. Rotational speed of right and left driving wheels A in the automobile is detected by a means C. A running condition of the automobile is detected by a means D. According to the running condition of the automobile, a weight coefficient that changes gradually in a predetermined range is calculated by a means E. Based on a rotational speed of the driving wheel A and on the weight coefficient, a weight average speed is calculated by a means F. A reference speed to the slipping of the wheel is set by a means G. Comparison between the weight average speed and the reference speed is made, and the driving torque of the engine is controlled by a means H, according to the results of the comparison.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve a response of a slip control while a brake control and a throttle control are prevented from interfering each other by controlling the controlling amount of a throttle valve to correct toward throttle shutting corresponding to the controlling power of a braking apparatus by a brake control. CONSTITUTION:The title apparatus has an acceleration slip detecting means M2 to detect an acceleration slip of driving wheels based on a speed of the driving wheels by a driving wheel speed detecting means M1. When an acceleration slip is detected, a braking apparatus M3 of driving wheels M1 and a throttle valve M5 are controlled by an acceleration slip controlling means M6, and the driving wheel speed is thus converged to an aimed driving wheel speed. In this case, a controlling power detecting means M7 to detect the controlling power of the braking apparatus M3 is installed on the acceleration slip controlling means M6. The controlling amount of the throttle valve M5 is corrected toward shutting corresponding to a detected result of the controlling power by a correcting means M8, and as the controlling power becomes larger, the opened degree of the throttle is let be lower.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a device to be applied to any vehicle under various specifications by providing a fluid pressure source controlling traction separately from a fluid pressure source controlling anti-skid units, and constituting it in such a way to be connected with the fluid pressure braking device of an anti- skid controlling type via an electromagnetic switchover device. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 50 controlling traction is connected between fluid passages 18 and 20 introducing brake fluid pressure produced by one of the pressurizing chambers of a tandem master cylinder 14 to a right and a left rear wheel cylinder 24. The aforesaid actuator 50 is controlled by a three position valve 52 which enables switchover made among a normal position communicating the master cylinder 14 with a three position valve 26 for anti-skid control, a traction control position communicating a fluid pressure source 56 for traction control with three position valve 26 and an interruption position which does not allow both the master cylinder 14 and the fluid pressure source 56 to be communicated with three position valve 26. The fluid pressure source 56 is composed of a pump 60 and of an accumulator 62 so as to be controlled by a control unit 54 based on the output from a pressure switch 66.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the speed variation in the right and left driving wheels, when a slip condition is detected, by selectively outputting either control signal for regulating independently respective braking forces of the right and left driving wheels or control signal for regulating dependently respective braking forces, in response to the difference in the wheel speeds of the right and left driving wheels. CONSTITUTION:A wheel speed detecting means 1 for detecting the wheel speeds of the right and left driving wheels respectively, and an acceleration slip detecting means 2 for detecting the acceleration slip condition of at least one side of the right and left driving wheels at the time of start acceleration on the basis of the output signal of the former means are provided. Further, a wheel speed difference detecting means 3 for detecting the difference in the wheel speeds of the right and left driving wheels on the basis of the output signal of the wheel speed detecting means 1 is provided. And when acceleration slip is detected, a control signal is selectively output by a braking force regulating means 4 to a braking means 5 so that, if the difference in the wheel speeds of the right and left driving wheels is larger, the increase or decrease in the brake pressure is independently carried out in the right and left wheels; and if the difference in the wheel speeds is smaller, the increase or decrease in the brake pressure is dependently carried out in the right and left wheels.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce lateral force acting on a compression coil spring by inclining the upper side seat winding surface at an angle within a specific range with the lateral force operation direction as a center, in the case of a coil spring such as a suspension coil spring in whose oil axis direction compression load acts on. CONSTITUTION: In the case of a compression coil spring 1, a lower side winding end 2 having a lower side seat winding surface 4 is formed at a lower part, and an upper side winding end 3 having an upper side seat winding surface 5 is formed at an upper part. In this case, in order to reduce lateral force acting on the compression coil spring 1, the upper side seat winding surface 5 is formed by being inclined at an angle within the radian range of ±0.125±with a lateral force operation direction as a center. Also, its inclination angle is set within the range of a 0.06-0.15 radian. As a result, lateral force acting on a compression coil spring can be effectively reduced.

CONSTITUTION:In a vehicle provided with a four-wheel driving device 6 and a four-wheel steering device 3 further to perform four-wheel steering in accordance with a four-wheel drive condition, the case of generating the situation, where no four-wheel steering can be performed, is detected by a four-wheel steering inability detecting means 7, and based on its detection signal, a signal is output to the four-wheel driving device 6 so as to limit differential action of front and rear wheels by a differential limiting means 8. As a result, the vehicle is placed in a condition of almost so-called directly coupled four-wheel drive, so that decrease of stability according to inability of the four-wheel steering is compensated by the four-wheel driving device 6 to ensure straight advancing stability of the vehicle.

And when acceleration slip is detected, the target braking values to be adjusted to the right and left driving wheels are right and left independently calculated in correspondence to the slip condition via a first and a second target braking value calculating means M4, M5. Next, respective target braking values thus calculated are compared by a comparison means M6, and when it is judged that the right and left target braking values are different each other, the braking force is corrected by a braking value correcting means M7 as much as a prescribed amount so that either of the right and left target braking values is brought near to the other target braking value.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to smoothly continue slip control by use of a normal one of a drive wheel brake means and an engine output regulating means by changing over the operation of the abnormal one into the other normal one upon detection of abnormal operation of one of these means, and by lowering the reference drive wheel speed upon detection of a slip. CONSTITUTION:A means M5 sets a reference drive wheel speed in accordance with the speed of a vehicle body which is detected by a vehicle body speed detecting means M1, and a drive wheel speed detected by a drive wheel speed detecting means M2 is compared with the reference drive wheel speed so as to detect an acceleration slip. Further, a drive wheel control means M3 and an engine output regulating means M4 are operated to control acceleration slips. When means M6, M7 detect abnormal operation of one of the means, a change-over means M8 changes over the operation of the abnormal one into the normal one so as to lower the reference drive wheel speed. The normal means continues the control of acceleration slips while the reference drive wheel speed is lowered so as to lower the amount of a variation, thereby it is possible to continue smooth slip control.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable preferable start of a vehicle even at a climbing road whose coefficient of friction of the road surface is low, when it is detected that the vehicle is on the climbing road and the speed is extremely low, by setting a target speed of driving wheels at a relatively low value during that period. CONSTITUTION:A driving wheel acceleration slip controlling device sets the target speed of driving wheels by a target speed deciding means based on the signal from a car body speed detecting means and a driving wheel speed detecting means and controls rotation of the driving wheels by a rotation restricting means (braking device) so that they are rotated at the target speed. Here, when the fact that the driving road of the vehicle is a climbing road is detected by a climbing road detecting means (inclination angle detecting device) and also the low speed less than the set value, namely, the starting state on a slope is detected by a low speed detecting means, the target speed detecting means sets the target speed of the driving wheels at the value lower than the usual flat road basis based on the slope basis. In this way, slip rate at the start on the slope can be controlled at low, and the vehicle can be preferably started even on the climbing road whose coefficient of friction of the road surface is low.

In accordance with the detected result of the operating condition detecting means M9, the controlling quantity calculated by the controlling quantity calculating means M7 is corrected M10. Thereby, a slip control can be favorably carried out with good responsiveness.
