Abstract: PURPOSE:To disconnect a throttle valve to a driving device first, when an abnormal condition succeeds for more than a specified period, without stopping an engine abruptly, by monitoring an operation condition of a throttle control device, and then judging an abnormal condition on the condition that an accelerator operation mechanism is at an initial position. CONSTITUTION:Output signals from an acceleration sensor 7, a throttle sensor 13 or the like are inputted into a judgment circuit in a fail monitor circuit 130. Then, judgment is carried out whether it is an abnormal condition, where an accelerator operation mechanism is substantially at an initial position and a throttle valve is opened by more than a specified opening, or not. When the abnormal condition succeeds for more than a specified period, an abnormal signal is output from an abnormality detection circuit. According to the abnormal signal, a solenoid clutch mechanism 2 is driven and the throttle valve is disconnected to a motor 4. When the abnormal signal is output again after a specified time passes from the first output of the abnormal signal, fuel supply to an internal combustion engine is stopped.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make both cornering forces and the direction of movement of each wheel proper so as to secure the acceleration characteristic or both the deceleration characteristic and directional stability of a vehicle by controlling the torque of each wheel so that the slip rate of each wheel approximates a desired value corresponding to the slip angle of each wheel. CONSTITUTION:The slip angle of each wheel of a vehicle is detected by a slip angle detecting means 2. A desired slip rate of each wheel is decided by a desired slip rate deciding means 4 according to the slip angle detected. Further, the torque of each wheel is controlled by a wheel torque controlling means 6 so that the actual slip rate of each wheel approximates the desired slip rate. Thereby both cornering forces and forces in the direction of movement of each wheel are both controlled to proper magnitude so as to secure the acceleration characteristic or both the deceleration characteristic and directional, stability of the vehicle.

Also, a fourth detection means 6 detects operation of brake. When whether the throttle valve is opened fully or whether engine is in high load condition is judged and brake operation is detected, a drive means 7 operates a solenoid 46 and a differential limit system 40 and makes differential function of center differential invalid.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To control the acceleration slip with high precision by judging the riding-over traveling of a vehicle on the basis of the frictional coefficient of each road surface onto which the right and left driving wheels contact and varying the control gain in the feedback control of the slip quantity in the riding-over traveling, to the less value. CONSTITUTION:The revolution speed of a driving wheel M1 is detected by a means M2, and the slip state and acceleration slip state of the driving wheel M1 are detected by the means M3 and M4 on the basis of the result of the detection. When acceleration slip is detected, the output torque of an internal combustion engine M5 is feedback-controlled by a means M6 with a prescribed control gain, so that the detected slip quantity becomes equal to an aimed slip quantity. In this device, a means M7 judges if the frictional coefficient on each road surface on which the right and left driving wheels M1 contact differs or not, in other word, the riding-over traveling of a vehicle. In case of the riding-over traveling of the vehicle, the control gain in the feedback control is varied to the value less than the above-described prescribed control gain by a means M8.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the conditions of air and unburnt fuel flowing into an exhaust system of an engine properly adjustable by performing control over a fuel supply to remaining cylinder when fuel increment and supply restriction are both performed. CONSTITUTION:In an engine controller 12, a fuel increments means increases a quantity of fuel to be fed to each cylinder of an engine 10 and makes an air-fuel ratio at each cylinder into a rich mixture. In addition, a fuel limiting means limits a fuel supply to the specified cylinder on the basis of a slipped state of driving wheels to be detected in a traction controller 13. Here,when a fuel increment by the fuel increment means and a limit of fuel supply to the specified cylinder by the fuel limiting means are both performed, the control over a fuel supply to the remaining cylinders takes place. With this constitution, the conditions of air and unburnt fuel flowing into an exhaust system of the engine 10 are properly adjustable so that, for example, the overheat of a catalyzer 39 is prevented from occurring and durability in the exhaust system is thus improvable.

CONSTITUTION:When an accelerator operating element 16 is depressed, a kick lever 34 turns up to the contact with a stopper 38, accompanied with the turn of an accelerating link 20, and the roller 40 of the kick lever 34 turns around the cam region of a relief lever 58 by the revolution of the kick lever 34, and the lever 58 is turned around a pin 56. When the accelerating link 20 turns over a prescribed angle (angle in the contact of the kick lever 34 onto the stopper 38), a motor is drive-controlled on the basis of the output signals of an accelerator position sensor and a throttle position sensor, and a motor lever 64 installed onto an output shaft 66 is turned, Therefore, the relief lever 58 is turned by a throttle lever 52, and a throttle valve 12 is opened.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make driving output according to the intention of a driver generable, by compensating the normal output timing of an opening change for prolongation when an output demand variation is smaller than the specified value and a requisite driving force variation is larger than the specified value, but in case of the reverse, making it so as to compensate it for shortening. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of an optimum driving froce characteristic of the preset vehicle, requisite driving force of the vehicle is calculated by a calculating device M5 according to each output of a car speed detecting device M3 and an output demand detecting device M4 receiving an external command, while throttle value opening corresponding to the calculated result is calculated by an opening supporting device M6, and it is outputted to an opening changing device M2 at normal output timing. In this case, a variation per specified time of the output demand and another variation per specified output demand of the requisite driving force both are calculated by respective calculating devices M7 and M8. And, the normal output timing is compensated for prolongation when the output demand variation is smaller than the specified value and the requisite driving force variation is larger than the specified value, but in case of the reverse, it is compensated for shortening the other way.

Then, by modulating the physical quantity relating to the generation of smoke, the concn. of the smoke in exhaust gas after combustion is varied. The variation rate from the output signal of the means M3 detecting the projection light to the exhaust gas from the means M2 is calculated to calculate the concn. of the smoke. By this method, even when light emitting quantity and light receiving quantity change by the change in the characteristics of the means M2, M3 and the contamination of light emitting and receiving surfaces, the concn. of the smoke can be detected with high accuracy.

CONSTITUTION:In the said device, a slip motor M4 is driven and controlled by a drive control means 7 based on the output of an operation condition detecting means 6 detecting the operation condition of an internal-combustion engine M1 including the depression quantity of an accelerator pedal M5 to control the opening of a throttle valve M3. When abnormality of the device is detected by an abnormality detecting means M8, the drive of the motor M4 is prohibited by a drive control prohibiting means M9, and a valve M3 is fully closed by an energizing means M10. In this case, when abnormality is detected or the full closure of the valve M3 is detected by a full closure detecting means M11, an opening/closing member 13 is driven by a driving means M14 to open an intake passage M12 bypassing the throttle valve M3.

Internal rings 34a and 36a of the bearings 34 and 36 are fitted into the shaft 18, while external rings 34b and 36b are fitted into ribs 30a and 32a. Spacers 38 and 40 are arranged between the rotor 24 and the internal rings 34a and 36a. Each internal ring cannot approach each other inwards in the direction of the axial line. At the outer end of the rib 32a of a flange 32 a female screw is threaded, where an adjusting screw 42 is screwed and a spring 44 arranged between the bearing external ring 36b and the screw 42.
