Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress water splash on a vehicle behind when water produced by power generation of the fuel cell is drained outside. SOLUTION: The fuel cell system includes a fuel cell carried in a mobile body and a drainage means for atomizing and draining water produced by power generation of the fuel cell. A specific status including at least one of the status of the mobile body and the status of a following mobile body behind the mobile body is obtained. Drainage conditions from the drainage means are controlled depending on the specific status obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide more accurately than conventionally the need for white smoke countermeasures from running conditions of a moving vehicle, the operation state of the moving vehicle, an operation status of a fuel cell, or environmental conditions, and efficiently suppress the white smoke. SOLUTION: The exhaust condition control device is provided with an exhaust gas temperature sensor 17 for measuring the exhaust gas temperature in the exhaust passage to exhaust the exhaust gas from a fuel cell body and an open air temperature sensor 19A for measuring the temperature of an open air to which the exhaust gas is exhausted. The control device determines whether white smoke is generated by the exhaust gas, according to the temperature difference between the exhaust gas temperature and the temperature of the open air; and when it is determined that the white smoke is generated, it determines the possibility of success or failure of conditions to reduce the white smoke, based on at least one of detection signals from sensors to detect the moving status of a moving vehicle, the operation status of the operating part for operating the moving vehicle, and the environmental conditions around the moving vehicle. When a first condition is satisfied, a treatment that reduces the white smoke is started, and when a second condition with a strong demand to reduce the white smoke than the first condition is satisfied, a treatment to suppress generation of the white smoke is started. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage caused by freezing of ion exchange resin arranged on the outside of a fuel cell. SOLUTION: A fuel cell system is equipped with: a gas-liquid separator, which is an ion removing device, having ion exchange resin removing ions in a produced water exhausted from the fuel cell; and a freezing suppressing means supplying an antifreezing solution to the gas-liquid separator and sinking the ion exchange resin in the antifreezing solution when a fuel cell system loading moving body is stopped. By sinking the ion exchange resin in the antifreezing solution, moisture in the ion exchange resin is diluted, and at the sane time, since the freezing of the ion exchange resin is suppressed, breakage of the ion exchange resin is prevented. SOLUTION: The fuel cell vehicle is equipped with a DC/DC converter, and a fuel cell and an accumulator which are connected with each other via the DC/DC converter. The fuel cell vehicle is further equipped with a first motor which is connected with the fuel cell without using the DC/DC converter, a second motor which is connected with the accumulator without using the DC/DC converter, and a controller which controls the operation of the fuel cell vehicle. The controller has a regenerative operation mode to supply the accumulator with the regenerative power by a second motor and also to supply the accumulator with the regenerative power by a first motor via the DC/DC converter. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polyelectrolyte fuel cell system in which elution of ions into water that is formed in the fuel cell is suppressed. SOLUTION: The solid polyelectrolyte fuel cell system detects the ions in the formed water that is discharged from the solid polyelectrolyte fuel cell 1 by an ion detecting sensor 41. In the case the ion concentration or discharged amount of the ions detected by the ion detecting sensor is higher than the prescribed value, an ECU 42 decreases a target temperature of the fuel cell 1 to that in the case ion density or discharged amount is lower than the prescribed value. By this, elution of fluorine ions into the formed water from the solid polyelectrolyte membrane of the fuel cell 1 is suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
