The sheet cassette is moved in the push-in direction by the energy charged in the charge spring at the final stage of moving the sheet cassette in the push-in direction.

SOLUTION: Rotation of a drive pulley MP of a motor is transmitted to a carriage roller 51 when a first planetary gear 13 is engaged with a gear 16, or a secondary planetary gear 14 is engaged with the gear 16 through an idle gear 15. The carriage roller 51 constantly rotates in a normal rotation direction C in accordance with rotation of the motor independent from the rotation direction of the motor. A locking member 17 keeps such a state that a first planetary rocking body 12 is locked at a rocking position in which the second planetary gear 14 is engaged with the gear 16 through the idle gear 15 with the locking member 17 fitted on a projection 122 of the first planetary rocking body 12. A paper sheet carried to a carriage path EC presses a lever 171 to rock the locking member 17, thus releasing locking of the first planetary rocking body 12 by the locking member 17.

The pick-up gear is rotated when the motor is rotated in a first direction, the feed gear is rotated when the motor is rotated in a second direction, and the discharge gear is rotated constantly in one direction regardless of the rotation direction of the motor.

摘要: PURPOSE: To prevent a paper supply apparatus used for a copier or the like from wear to improve the reliability thereof by driving a paper supply roller through an one-way means by a reversible drive source and providing an engaging clutch turned on and off in the stoppage of the drive source on the paper supply roller.
CONSTITUTION: To one ends of shafts 10a, 11a, 26a of paper supply rollers 10, 11 and a manual roller 26 are attached a clutch 38 turned on and off, a clutch driving section 47 and a pulley 33 for turning on and off the clutch. The pulley 33 is rotated integrally with the shafts 10am 11a, 26a when the clutch driving section 47 is turned on, and freed when said section 47 is turned off. Also, the shaft 13a of a register roller 13 is driven through an one-way clutch 53 by a reversible pulse motor 31. A pulley 32 is attached to the shaft of the pulse motor 31 and connected through a timing belt 37 to the paper supply rollers and the pulley 33 on the manual roller shaft. Said turning-on-and- off operation of the clutch 38 is carried out in the stoppage of the pulse motor 31.
