PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inserter for achieving high productivity required for POD. SOLUTION: This inserter includes sheet storing units (42-45) for storing insert sheets, a paper feeding unit (42a-45a) for feeding insert sheets stored in the sheet storing units. The inserter also includes a sheet conveyance unit (49) for conveying record sheets discharged from an image forming device and the insert sheets fed from the paper feeding unit to a downstream device disposed on the downstream side of a conveyance passage. The inserter also includes a conveying speed control unit (317) for controlling the conveying speed of the record sheets and insert sheets conveyed by the sheet conveyance unit. The conveying speed control unit sets the conveying speed in conveying the insert sheets to the downstream device based on the conveying speed of the record sheet conveyed to the downstream device immediately before or after the insert sheets. PURPOSE:To facilitate the discrimination of partitioning part of copy papers loaded on a loading deck by permitting to convey the partitioning paper, different from the copy paper in the quality thereof, through an exclusive conveying route for the partioning paper, which is provided separately from a copy paper coveying route. CONSTITUTION:When a predetermined number of sheet of copy papers are loaded onto the loading deck 31, the partitioning paper P' is supplied from the partitioning paper feeding device 14 and is introduced from an entrance for the partitioning paper at the side of the loading device 16. The partitioning paper P' is passed through the conveying route for the partitioning paper, which is the different route from the conveying route for the copy paper, by conveying rollers 38, 39, is put on the uppermost stage copy paper P, being loaded on the loading deck, by a partitioning paper discharging roller 40, is received by a cushion 41 and is aligned by a paper aligning device 37 through with the copy paper P.

PURPOSE:To increase stacking ability by lining up and forming plural rows of successively supplied multi-piled blanks, on a transfer table, and placing partitioning boards on multi-layered blanks after lowering the height of the transfer table. CONSTITUTION:Multi-layered blank B is fed on a roller type transporting conveyer of stacking means 11 by a supplying conveyer 5, and required number of multi-layered blank B is placed, then a supporting pin 30 is moved rightward by a cylinder 29, and blank B is held between pins 26 and 30. A conveyer 15 is receded by a cylinder 21, and after completing the recession, multi-blank B row is dropped on a pallet 35 by contraction of the cylinder 29, and the transfer table 12 is moved rightward by the distance for one blank B. After finishing the first and the second step stacking, the transfer table 12 is moved to the partition board supplying means 50 side. When the partitioning board is placed on blank B, it is returned to its original position and stacking is repeated.

PURPOSE:To provide a required automatic control even when any troubles occur in feeding a tape, by controlling the operativeness and inoperativeness of a motor for supplying a tape on the basis of a tape sensor and a sheet sensor. CONSTITUTION:When the absence of a tape is detected by a tape sensor 31 continuously a certain set time or more after a mark commanding signal input is supplied externally, a motor 11 for a tape supply mechanism is controlled to be set to the inoperative condition while a signal output representing the non- insertion of the tape is supplied. When the absence of the sheet is detected by a sheet sensor 32 in the supply of the mark commanding signal input, the motor is operated to feed the tape, whereas the feed of the tape is held when the presence of the sheet is detected.
