Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-halogen thermal aging resistant flame-retardant resin composition excellent in flame resistance, thermal aging resistance and safety, useful as cable insulation material, and to provide a wire and a cable using the non-halogen thermal aging resistant flame-retardant resin composition.SOLUTION: The non-halogen thermal aging resistant flame-retardant resin composition comprises 100 pts.mass of polyolefin resin, 100 to 250 pts.mass of metal hydroxide, and 2 pts.mass to 5 pts.mass of an antioxidant containing an antioxidant having a melting point of 200°C or higher and an average particle diameter of 10 μm or less alone or containing other antioxidant. The non-halogen thermal aging resistant flame-retardant resin composition is obtained by crosslinking a mixture obtained by blending the above polyolefin resin, metal hydroxide and antioxidant.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film for indicating excellent adhesion without executing chemical coating processing as backing processing, and a metallic automobile part having this coating film.SOLUTION: The coating film is formed on a surface of the metallic automobile part by simultaneously executing tempering of its metallic automobile part and baking hardening of stuck powder, by sticking the powder by a powder coating method to the surface of the metallic automobile part hardened after forging, and the surface of the metallic automobile part before sticking the powder by the powder coating method, is a work-hardened basis material surface of not executing the chemical coating processing.

A fabricated article (e.g., jacketed or insulated wire or cable) is prepared by a process comprising the steps of: applying a coating of a moisture-curable composition onto a wire or cable; and reacting the moisture-curable composition with water, wherein the moisture-curable composition comprises at least one resin having hydrolysable reactive silane groups and a tin catalyst characterized by the tin having a +4 oxidation state and a bis(alkoxide) ligand. The product of the process includes a wire or cable comprising a jacket, wherein the jacket comprises at least one poly olefin resin having hydrolysable reactive silane groups and a tin catalyst, the tin catalyst having a bis(alkoxide) ligand and characterized by the tin having a +4 oxidation state. The product of the process also includes a wire or cable comprising a jacket wherein the jacket comprises (i) the reaction product of at least one polyolefin resin having hydrolysable reactive silane groups and water, and (ii) at least one tin catalyst, the tin catalyst having a bis(alkoxide) ligand and characterized by the tin having a +4 oxidation state.
