PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal cylinder ignition device by which a signal cylinder can be ignited even in one hand and the ignition is securely performed through an easy operation and which comprises a smaller number of components.SOLUTION: A signal cylinder ignition device comprises a holding part which is formed to be freely mounted on a signal cylinder, and a rotary lid which covers a signal cylinder head in a closed state together with the holding part and is in a lidded cylindrical shape. The holding part has a base peripheral wall formed so that the signal cylinder can be pressed in and a front peripheral wall extending upward from the base peripheral wall, and the rotary lid has a top plate which can cover a signal cylinder top and a peripheral wall formed substantially vertically from the top plate. The rotary lid is fitted rotatably to the base peripheral wall of the holding part through a hinge part provided on the peripheral wall, and rubbing powder provided on the reverse side of the top plate slides on a detonator at the signal cylinder top while the rotary cover is opened.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an igniting agent for an initiator in a gas generator, particularly an electric gas generator suitable for activating a seat belt pretensioner or an airbag inflator, its manufacturing method and a method for manufacturing the initiator using the same. SOLUTION: The initiator has an ignition mechanism where the igniting agent is ignited by heat generated at a heating element connected via a pair of electric current transferring pins when an electric signal is given. The igniting agent for the initiator is slurry mainly comprising a mixture where a fuel component is zirconium and an oxidizer component is potassium perchlorate. A binder component is nitrocellulose whose blending amount is 0.1 wt.% or more and 0.5 wt.% or less in outer percentage to the total amount of zirconium and potassium perchlorate. A solvent is isoamyl acetate whose blending amount is 12.5 wt.% or more and 14.0 wt.% or less to the total amount of zirconium and potassium perchlorate. SOLUTION: The composite reactive multilayer foil comprises a respective reactive layers of a 1st group and a 2nd group. The 1st group and the 2nd group reactive layers are thermally brought into contact with each other, the 1st group reactive layer is more reactive than the 2nd group reactive layer and therefore the 2nd group reactive layer is burnt by the ignition of the 1st group reactive layer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an igniter for an inflater and its manufacturing method enabling the secure contact of a heat generation body generating heat by an ignition current with a pyrotechnic material without damaging the heat generation body and the simplification of a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the igniter for the inflater comprises a process for manufacturing pyrotechnic material slurry produced by containing and dispersing a fuel component and an oxidizer component in a solvent, a process for dropping the pyrotechnic material slurry on the heat generation body generating heat by an ignition current of a header member formed like a plate, and a process for drying the dropped pyrotechnic material slurry.
