摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an one step method for producing a polyisocyanate having a biuret structure on the basis of an isocyanate having an isocyanate group bound to an aromatic group without forming an undesired solid product by- produced on the reaction of an isocyanate with an organic diamine. SOLUTION: This method for producing a polyisocyanate having a biuret structure comprises continuously mixing an organic diisocyanate having an isocyanate group bound to an aromatic group with an organic diamine having an amino group bound to an aromatic group in a mixing chamber in a molar ratio of at least 8:1, reacting the mixture at a temperature of >180 deg.C and controlling the retention time of the reaction mixture in the mixing chamber from the mixing time of the organic diisocyanate with the organic diamine maximally to 60sec.

In formula, A is a double-bonded or triple-bonded urea group, X is -O- or -NR-, (wherein R is 1 to 12C alkyl group), R is a double-bonded hydrocarbon group having 2 to 25 carbon atoms, R is a double-bonded to six-bonded straight or branched chain hydrocarbon group having 2 to 18 carbon atoms, in which the chain may be intercepted by at most three oxygen atoms, and R is H or methyl group, (n) is an integer 1 to 5, and (m) is 2 or 3.
