    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elucidate a DNA-repairing mechanism in mammals, and to provide a method for treating and diagnosing a related disease. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a nucleic acid sequence encoding human TFIIH 8kDa subunit and a related sequence. The nucleic acid can be used for a method for producing the TFIIH subunit and for a method for diagnosing or treating transcription and NER deficiency [especially in several forms of trichothiodystrophy(TTD)]. HTFB5/TTDA gene and a coded protein can be used for therapeutic or genetically therapeutic products targeting the treatment of congenital NER lesion.
