摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber which has excellent heat resistance and can be used in a high temperature environment, for example, for on-vehicle use, and to provide a harness including the optical fiber.SOLUTION: In an optical fiber 1, an outside of a clad layer 20 is coated with at least one layer of a resin layer 30 having a solubility parameter (SP value) of 10.3 to 13.6 (cal/cm)and a glass transition temperature of 46 to 116°C. The optical fiber 1 can be processed into an optical cable including a sheath and a tension member fiber; and the optical cable can be bundled with a metal cable having a sheath comprising polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and processed into a harness. When the sheath of the metal cable further contains a plasticizer and the harness is kept in an environment at 130°C or lower, a transition amount of the plasticizer from the sheath of the metal cable to the resin layer of the optical fiber is 3 wt.% or less of the resin layer of the optical fiber.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branched polyamide comprising an unsaturated end, a thermoadhesive composed of the branched polyamide, and use of the branched polyamide as the thermoadhesive or an electrical cable sheathing.
SOLUTION: The branched polyamide comprising an unsaturated end is composed of (1) at least one unit obtained from a multifunctional monomer (A) having two or more functional groups and (2) at least one chain obtained from condensation of the following reactants (a)-(d) in the presence of at least one unsaturated monobasic acid: (a) at least two different lactams; (b) at least one lactam, at least one dicarboxylic acid and at least one diamine; (c) a lactam or an α,ω-aminocarboxylic acid; or (d) a diamine and a diacid (wherein a ratio of the multifunctional monomer (A) to a combination of (A) and all of above monomers is 9 wt.% or less). Crosslinking can be carried out easily under heating using hydrogen peroxide as an initiator, under ultra-violet radiation (or by melting under ultraviolet radiation) using an ultraviolet photosensitive initiator, or under β-ray or γ-ray radiation.

摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain a copper wire coating resin composition excellent in heat resistance and in the prevention of thermal discoloration by mixing a polyamide-11 or -12 resin with a heavy metal deactivator and a heat-resistance improver. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. polyamide-11 or -12 resin (A) is mixed with 0.01-2 pts.wt. heavy metal deactzvator (B) and 0-3 pts.wt. heat-resistance improver (C). As the component A, one having melt characteristics adaptable to high-speed extrusion, i.e., a relative viscosity of 1.8 to 3.2, is preferably used. As the component B, benzotriazole, methylbenzotriazole, N-form-N'-salicyloylhydrazine, etc., are preferably used. As the component C, organic heat-resistance improvers comprising, e.g. a hindered phenol compound, a phosphorus compound, a sulfur compound and a benzotriazole compound, and a metal halide, acetate, etc., can be used. The electric wire coated with this resin composition is excellent in the prevention of thermal discoloration and can be used in contact with a vinyl chloride resin molding.
