    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypropylene fiber that has high strength and high modulus without using a special raw material and/or special means.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a polypropylene fiber including: a spinning step of a melt and extruded fiber, in which polypropylene is melt and extruded and the melt and extruded fiber is spun while it is drawn at a temperature of the glass-transition temperature of polypropylene or higher and the glass-transition temperature +20°C or lower so that the ratio of the drawing speed to the extruding speed falls in the range of 50 to 400; a temperature maintaining step for maintaining the melt and extruded fiber obtained in the spinning step of a melt and extruded fiber at a temperature of the glass-transition temperature of polypropylene or higher and the glass-transition temperature +20°C or lower; a drawing step for drawing the melt and extruded fiber after the temperature maintaining step; and a heat treating step for heat treating the fiber at a temperature of 110°C or higher and lower than 150°C while applying a stress in the range of 200 to 450 N/mmto the drawn fiber obtained in the drawing step.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow modified crimped yarn having a sufficient crimping property, and capable of obtaining a fabric having excellent bulkiness, excellent lightweight feeling and a heat-retaining property when being woven.SOLUTION: There is provided a hollow modified crimped yarn as a fiber having a modified cross section, which is composed of a fiber-forming thermoplastic polymer and has at least one hollow portion in the fiber cross section and a plurality of protrusions radially protruding from the outer periphery to the center of the hollow portion, the hollow modified crimped yarn satisfying the followings: (1) An actual percentage of crimp (VC) is 1 to 20%; (2) A percentage of crimp (VD) after dry heat treatment at a temperature of 150°C is 5 to 30%; and (3) The fiber is constituted by 10 or more single yarns.
