    摘要: An electrically operated vehicle provides a series of rotary members specially mounted to be partially exposed to external direct fluid currents and deflected fluid currents from a deflecting member. Each rotary member provides a series of substantially flat radial vanes circumferentially spaced in quadrature with the vanes of one rotating member angularly spaced with respect to the quadrature type vanes provided by an axially spaced rotary member. An axially spaced fluid conducting channel provides a vacuum at an axial end of a rotating member for reducing back pressure. An electrical control automatically responds to the differentially sensed electrical charges, within a pair of separate batteries for selectively connecting the battery with the lowest charge to the energy generating source and the battery with the greatest charge to energize an electrical motor driving the vehicle.

    摘要: A traffic speed surveillance system is provided by a set of monitor transceivers (8, 10 and 12) located along a roadway (14) and communicating with a central processor (22), and including at least some stationary transceivers (8 and 10) sending radio signals indicative of speed limit in the location of the particular stationary transceiver. A vehicle transceiver (6) mounted in a vehicle (2) includes means for entering driver identification (36) and vehicle identification (48), and speedometer means (46) for measuring the speed of the vehicle. The vehicle transceiver receives the radio signals from the monitor transceiver indicative of speed limit and compares measured speed against the limit, and sends radio signals indicative of driver identification, vehicle identification and speed limit violation to the monitor transceiver for reporting to the central processor.

    摘要: An auxiliary exhaust system for use with a flue includes a conduit communicating at one end with an opening formed in the flue wall and a blower operable to introduce auxiliary air into the flue through the conduit. The conduit is angled so that the auxiliary air enters the flue with a velocity component extending in the downstream direction of the flow of the products of combustion to aid in venting the combustion unit. A damper located within the conduit operates an on-off switch in a blower control circuit which starts and stops the blower when the damper is opened and closed, respectively. The blower control circuit also includes an automatic combustion control which is responsive to flue temperature to increase the speed of the blower whenever the flue temperature is below a predetermined value and to decrease the blower speed whenever the flue temperature is above a predetermined value. The blower includes an access port which enables a fire extinguishing chemical to be introduced into the flue.
