Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing an interdental cleaning device (1) including a base portion (10) having a handle portion (11) and a core portion (12); and a soft portion (20) having a cleaning soft portion (21), a non-slip portion (22), and connecting portions (23) extending from two sites of the non-slip portion (22) and being connected to the cleaning soft portion (21). The method includes causing a second gate (49) of second molds (40) and (41) for molding the soft portion (20) to open at a position substantially equally distant from positions of two communicating openings (48a) of a non-slip molding space (47) for molding the non-slip portion (22), the two communicating openings (48a) communicating with connecting portion molding spaces (48) for molding the connecting portions (23); and charging the elastomeric material from the second gate (49) into a second molding space (42) for molding the soft portion (20) to fill the molding space (42).
Abstract:
To improve the display uniformity in a vertical alignment liquid crystal display. A liquid crystal display includes: first and second substrates; first and second electrodes provided the substrates, respectively; first and second vertical alignment films provided on the substrates respectively; a plurality of columnar spacers disposed at least in a region where the first and second electrodes are superimposed, and provided between the first and second substrates; and a liquid crystal layer provided between the first and second substrates. The first vertical alignment film is subject to an alignment treatment in one direction. The liquid crystal layer has a pretilt angle during non-application of voltage. Each columnar spacer has a profile, in a planar view, which is not orthogonal to and which is not parallel with an alignment direction of liquid crystal molecules at substantially center of the liquid crystal layer in a layer thickness direction.
Abstract:
Provided is a core/sheath composite filament for toothbrushes which exhibits excellent hardness, durability and feeling of use when used in toothbrushes, is less prone to falling out when tufted into the tufting plate, and makes it possible to improve stain-removal properties. Also provided is a toothbrush using said core/sheath composite filament. A toothbrush is configured using bundles of bristles configured from core/sheath composite filaments that have a quadrangular cross section in the plane perpendicular to the lengthwise direction and comprise a core (2), which is formed from a synthetic resin fiber, and a sheath (3), which integrally covers the core (2) and is formed from an elastomer that is compatible with the synthetic resin constituting the core (2). Tufts configured from a plurality of the core/sheath composite filaments (1) are tufted in the center portion of a tufting plate.
Abstract:
A press-fit connector in which the presence or absence of buckling of a press-fit pin can be confirmed by visual observation, when the press-fit pin is inserted by pressure into a through hole of a circuit board. The press-fit connector includes a press-fit section which holds a press-fit pin, and a connector section which can be installed on the press-fit section and which has a connecting pin that can be connected to the press-fit pin when the connector section is installed on the press-fit section. A penetration aperture for confirming buckling of the press-fit pin is provided in the press-fit section. The penetration aperture is formed in a circular shape surrounding the press-fit pin.

Abstract:
A robot apparatus and a motion controlling method for the robot apparatus wherein a reflex motion or the like can be performed at a high speed while decreasing the calculation amount of and the concentrated calculation load to a control apparatus. The robot has a control configuration having a hierarchical structure including a higher order central calculation section corresponding to the brain, reflex system control sections corresponding to the vertebra, and servo control systems and actuators corresponding to the muscles. From restrictions to the power consumption and so forth, there is a limitation to increase of the speed of a control cycle of the higher order central calculation section. External force acting upon the machine body is a disturbance input of a high frequency band, and a very high speed control system is required. Therefore, the reflex control systems which correspond to an intermediate hierarchy operate in a high speed cycle to respond at a high speed to the external force to absorb a deviation caused by the disturbance.
Abstract:
A sheet-testing apparatus including kneading rolls, a frame feeder, sheet applicator, foreign material detector, a frame with a light transparent window and a cutter for cutting a sheet. A sheet thickness detection apparatus outputs an electric signal to a memory. A kneading apparatus has a pair of heating rolls separated by a gap. The directions and speeds of rotations of the rolls are adjustable. A sensor detects the gap and a bank sensor detects the condition of a bank in the gap. The distance between the rolls, their temperatures, rotations, and speeds are automatically controlled. A pair of blades peel a sheet from the sheet-winding roll. Material dropped through the gap between the heating rolls is returned to a point above the gap. A cutting device has a length of wire sprung onto a rolled sheet to sever the sheet. A heating roll cleaning device brings cleaning rolls into sliding engagement with the heating rolls. A heating roll cleaning device has means for feeding an elongated cloth-like cleaning member for cleaning heating rolls.
