摘要： A control apparatus for controlling a memory unit having an electrically erasable nonvolatile memory for storing information used in a process in an electrical equipment and a flash memory storing a processing program for executing the process in the electrical equipment. The control apparatus includes a loading program for loading information into the flash memory, which program is stored in the electrically erasable nonvolatile memory, a memory selecting circuit for selecting the flash memory when a first selecting information is supplied thereto, and selecting the electrically erasable nonvolatile memory when a second selecting information is supplied thereto, and a loading unit for supplying the second selecting information to the memory selecting circuit under a condition in which a program voltage is supplied from an external power supply thereto and for loading information in accordance with the loading program stored in the electrically erasable nonvolatile memory selected by the memory selecting circuit.

摘要： The invention relates to a crime prevention assisting apparatus which can work with a radio terminal apparatus manipulated by a subscriber or the like of a mobile communication system in order to prevent crime as well as to a radio terminal apparatus that has a function of crime prevention and is used for providing a communication service to the subscriber. An object of the invention is to utilize existing hardware effectively and to prevent crime at a low cost. The apparatuses according to the invention make a transition to a special state when a particular event has occurred, and issue only in the special state an alarm to the effect that a crime prevent measure is taken, and originates a call automatically in response to a prescribed manipulation or requests a radio terminal apparatus to originate a call.

摘要： A power switching unit of a portable telephone which has a function of storing data such as telephone numbers and operates with a battery. The unit comprises a battery for supplying power to a radio unit and a control unit which contains a data storage function and controls operation of the radio unit, first voltage monitor means for monitoring a supply voltage of the battery to output a first voltage drop signal when the supply voltage falls below a first predetermined value, and communication disconnection means for stopping power supply to the radio unit upon reception of the first voltage drop signal. The power switching unit of the portable telephone further includes voltage adjustment means for adjusting voltage suppled to the control unit from the battery to a predetermined operating voltage of the control unit for supplying it to the control unit.

摘要： A speech detection circuit includes an amplifier for amplifying an input audio signal and having a variable gain, a rectifying circuit for rectifying an output signal of the amplifier, a comparator for comparing an output signal level of the rectifying circuit with a reference level, and a control circuit for outputting a control signal based on an output signal of the comparator. The control circuit outputs a control signal which indicates a power save mode after a predetermined time elapses from a time when the output signal level of the rectifying circuit becomes less than or equal to the reference level, and outputs a control signal which indicates a normal mode immediately when the output signal level of the rectifying circuit becomes greater than the reference level. The amplifier receives the control signal output from the control circuit and reduces its gain when the control signal indicates the power save mode.

摘要： The present invention relates to a mode-switchable telephone and mode setting and switching methods for the telephone. The mode-switchable telephone has a comparing unit which compares a value of a ringer adjusting volume with a volume value for setting a second mode, and a control unit which switches a first mode to the second mode when it is determined based on the result of the comparison by the comparing unit that the value of the ringer adjusting volume is set to be equal to or less than the volume value for setting the second mode. This structure facilitates the operation of the telephone having an automatic answering/recording function and a simple pager function.
