    摘要: In a lens barrier device, one barrier blade is arranged at a different height in the optical axis direction from another barrier blade, and a barrier base is provided with a regulating portion which is at the outer peripheral portion of an optical axis forward end side barrier blade and which regulates the position in the optical direction of the optical axis forward end side barrier blade, thus forming the lens barrier device as a unit. If rotation shafts for the barrier blades are formed on an external cover, deformation or the like would be generated when the external cover is assembled to the apparatus, resulting in an increase in the requisite drive force for the opening/closing operation. Hence, it is possible to prevent a suitable opening/closing operation from being hindered by such an increase in the requisite drive force.

    摘要: The present invention provides an optical pickup apparatus which can prevent an offset to a focus signal and can satisfactorily correct spherical aberration generated by difference in substrate thickness while achieving the formation of a thinner type of the apparatus. In the present invention, a parallel flat plate for correcting spherical aberration generated by difference in thickness of a transmissive substrate to the first and second recording layers of an optical disk is arranged between a beam splitter and a collimator, and in addition, the spherical aberration is corrected by inserting and removing the parallel flat plate, or switching and inserting another parallel flat plate having a different thickness to an optical path.

    摘要: An information recording/reproducing device includes an optical pickup and traversing means for moving the optical pickup in a radial direction of a disc-shaped recording medium. The optical pickup includes a splitter for splitting light emitted from a light source into transmitted light and reflected light, an objective lens for focusing the transmitted light onto the recording medium, a deflecting mirror for guiding the transmitted light to the objective lens, and a photo detector that detects light reflected by the recording medium. The light source, splitter, and deflecting mirror are arranged on the optical pickup such that a light axis extending from the light source to the deflecting mirror is slanted towards an inner periphery of the recording medium with respect to a direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the optical pickup. The photo detector is disposed at an inner periphery side of the recording medium relative to the light axis.
